Chinmaya Mission Houston (CMH) was established in 1982 and has since evolved into a dynamic organization serving several hundred families. The Mission is dedicated to spreading the knowledge of Vedanta and other Hindu scriptures. Mission Houston conducts weekly discourses (Satsanga-s). We strongly believe that spirituality is a family activity. Special care is taken to conduct spiritual and cultural programs that interest all members of the family. Our Mission is to provide to individuals, from any background, the wisdom of Vedanta and the practical means for spiritual growth and happiness, enabling them to become positive contributors to the society. Our Aspiration is to provide maximum happiness to the maximum number of people for the maximum time. Regular Satsanga (discourse) is held every Sunday at the Smrti, a 12,000 sq. ft. hall located in the Chinmaya Smrti building. The Satsangas are held in two sessions from 8:35 AM to 10:15 AM and from 11:20 AM to 1:00 PM. Please Note – We are closed for summer from May 22 thru Sept 9, 2023. The session typically include Prayers and Invocations, Bhajanas, and a discourse by our Acaryas. Please see the CMH Calendar for information on specific topics for discourses.
