We are looking forward to seeing all members of Chinmaya Mission Houston on various programs for our week long celebration of Prabhavali Dharana Mahotsava. Details of the program are as follows:
– Daily Prabhavali Puja – Sun-Sat Dec 13-19, 2009

– Pravacana by Pujya Swami Tejomayanandaji Fri-Sat Dec 18-19, 2009
Pujya Guruji will conduct Jnana Yajna on the occasion of Prabhavali Dharana Mahotsava. There will be a series of 3 pravacanas on Friday and Saturday at Chinmaya Prabha in Smrti Hall.

Please note that Guruji’s pravacanas are for adults and are open to public. You may encourage your friends to attend this Jnana Yajna on this unique topic.
Guruji will arrive at Chinmaya Prabha at 6:55 PM on Friday, so plan to be seated in the Smrti Hall by 6:40 PM on Friday evening.

Tea/snacks will be available on Saturday during break.

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM all children practice for Guruji’s arrival
7:00 PM – 7:30 PM KG – Grade 6
7:30 PM – 8:30 PM Grades 7 -12Please arrive at 5:45 PM so that we can start practice at 6:00 PM.
Children in KG – Grade 6 will assemble in Smrti Hall. Children in Grade 7 – 12 assemble in Sarasvati Nilayam.
Parents should go to the classroom for their youngest child. While children are with Guruji, parents will have Mauna Sadhana. We have Japamalas, paper and pens for Likhita Japa. You can bring a scriptural book of your choice to read during this time.
Parents of 6th and 7th grade children should assemble in the courtyard to receive Guruji. After receiving Guruji, they should go to the classroom for their youngest child for Mauna Sadhana.

12:00 Noon Prasada – LunchTo ensure a smooth flow please follow these guidelines:
1. When arriving in the morning, please enter Smrti Hall from the Main entrance for Smrti Hall facing the Sivalaya.
2. You may leave your footwear in shoe racks placed in the courtyard.
3. Plan to reach latest by 8:40 AM so that we are seated before Guruji’s arrival.
4. At the end of Puja, members in Sarasvati Nilayam and dining area will exit from Sri Ganesh’s apartment door and fill up the left side of the courtyard. Members in Smrti Hall will exit from the Smrti entrance and fill up the right side of the courtyard. Do not block the center walk to Sivalaya. Prabhavali procession with Guruji will be using this to go to Sivalaya. Volunteers will be stationed to assist you so please follow their instructions.
5. After installation of Prabhavalis, people will go to Sivalaya in line for darsana. During Alankara and Arati, darsana line will stop and then restart. Everyone will have an opportunity to do darsana.
6. Lunch will start after arati.
7. For lunch everyone must enter from Sri Ganesh’s apartment door and follow the instructions from the designated volunteers.
8. Guruji will have lunch with us in Smrti Hall. So wait for him to arrive, before starting to eat.
2. No Satsanga December 27, 2009
We will not have regular Sunday satsanga on December 27, 2009.
Our satsangas for 2010 will start from Sunday January 3, 2010 in two sessions.
3. New Year celebration at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya Friday January 1, 2010
We will have Visnusahasranama Puja at Sivalaya to celebrate new year.
Let us start the New Year with blessings of Lord Siva, Lord Ganesa, Sri Rama and Sitaji, Sri Krsna and Radhaji.
Puja Timings: 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM
Temple will be open for darsana during regular temple timings.
