Our Bala Vihar Teachers

Some description text for this item

Chinmaya Mission Houston Bala Vihar provides a structured and consistent Sunday activity that binds a family towards a common cause of all round spiritual growth for the entire family. It provides families a common frame of reference founded on the Vedanta’s millennia tested principles, to discuss and navigate the world that children face every day. It allows parents to convey to their children their respect and love for the culture of India and strengthen their children’s spiritual foundation. In a true tradition of Guru-Shishya Parampara – children get to observe the results of hundreds of volunteers at Mission working in a Karmayoga spirit of dedication to Gurudeva Swami Chinmayananda.

A team of specially trained, experienced, and dedicated teachers conduct the Bala Vihar program. Through games, arts, crafts, stories, and other unique techniques, the Bala Vihar program teaches and reinforces spiritual and cultural values. The curriculum designed for all grade levels (Pre-KG through Grade 12) is creative and dynamic and covers a wide range of topics.
