Pujya Gurudeva’s Mahasamadhi Day Aug. 03

Pujya Gurudeva Swami Chinmayananda attained Mahasamadhi on August 3, 1993. This sacred day is especially auspicious for all of us in the Chinmaya Mission family, offering an opportunity to reflect with gratitude on his extraordinary life, his timeless teachings, and the immeasurable love and compassion with which he guided countless seekers.

On this holy occasion, let us come together in devotion to offer our heartfelt gratitude, honor our beloved Gurudeva’s legacy, and invoke his blessings so that we may continue to grow in spiritual wisdom and walk steadfastly on the path he so compassionately illuminated for us.

Chinmaya Mission Houston warmly invites you and your family to join us for the

Mahasamadhi Commemoration on Monday, August 3, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM, in Smriti.

The evening’s program will include Pratima Puja and Paduka Puja, lovingly offered in reverence to our Pujya Gurudeva.

Please bring the following items for the puja:

• A decorated plate with a lamp and Padukas (if available)
• Prarthana Piyusa
• Yellow rice and/or flowers
• Matchbox
• Two Ziploc bags:
• One to take home the blessed flowers/rice (prasada)
• One for trash

Kindly use the Smriti courtyard entrance and be seated by 7:20 PM so that we may begin the program promptly.

We look forward to offering our prayers together as one family and seeking Pujya Gurudeva’s grace to inspire and guide us in our spiritual journey.
