Please note that Smrti and Balamandira building entrances will be locked at 8:45 AM for first session and at 11:30 AM for second session.
Please note: Bhajana classes alternate with the Slokathon/Orchestra classes every other Sunday.
Children in grades KG – 6 will be in the Smrti Hall for first half an hour this Sunday, instead of going to Sarasvati Nilayam.
These children will sit according to their grade in the front lines of the Smrti Hall.
Children in PreK will go to their own class and will not be in Smrti Hall.
2. No Lunch Program on – Sun May 14, 2017
Due to Plumbing problems and maintenance in the kitchen area, we will not have a lunch program this Sunday.
3. Graduation Ceremony – Sat. May 20, 2017
On Sat. May 20, we will have a special program in honor of our graduating class.
Program will be as follows:

All adults and Bala Vihar children in grades 9 – 12 are encouraged to be part of this special program.
Plan to be seated in Smrti Hall by 8:50 AM.
Please note there will be no Bala Vihar classes or any special program for children in grades Pre KG – 8.
4. New Member Orientation – Sun May 14, 2017
On Sunday May 14 we will be having an orientation for new members or those who have never attended a CMH orientation before. We encourage all new members to avail this opportunity to learn a little bit more about our facility and its program.
Time: 10:20 AM
Place: In the 9th grade class room S109
5. Bala Vihar Re-Enrollment for 2017-2018
Bala Vihar re-enrollment is underway for the 2017-2018 academic year. Eligible families should have received the online re-enrollment link by email. Please fill out the online form and submit it as soon as you can.
Make sure that the following information is correct:
* Grade the Bala Vihar child will be attending in September 2017
* Session you would like to attend for the year 2017-2018
* Enter proper selection for extra class option – only one extra class can be selected.
* Please check all the pre-filled information and make changes where required.
Deadline to fill out Bala Vihar re-enrollment form is May 31, 2017.

6. Chinmaya Mission Summer Schedule
Both BalaVihara and adult classes will remain closed for summer from May 22nd – September 9th. Classes will resume on Sunday, September 10th.
7. Bala Vihar teachers’ training – Aug 19-20, 2017
Acarya Smt. Darshana Auntie will conduct Bala Vihar teachers’ training on August 19-20, 2017. The schedule will be as below:

8. Summer Jnana Yajna by Swami Swaroopananda – Aug 11-15, 2017
We are happy to announce that this summer Swami Swaroopananda ji will be conducting the Jnana Yajna at Chinmaya Mission Houston.
The text for this year’s Yajna will be IK Onkaar and Japji Sahib & Meditations from Upanishads
Please mark your calendars to avail this opportunity to enrich yourself in your own hometown.
9. Opportunity to offer Bhiksa to Pujya Swami Swaroopananada during Jnana Yajna
During the Jnana Yajna from August 11 – 15, members will have an opportunity to offer bhiksa to Swami Swaroopanandaji. There will be breakfast, lunch and dinner bhiksas. Interested members are requested to sign up at the welcome desk. The Bhiksa coordinator will contact you with further details.
