  1. Chinmaya Mission Houston (CMH) is currently open for its members.
  2. Adult and Bala Vihar classes are held on-site from September to May on Sundays, in two sessions:
    • Session I: 8:35 AM to 10:15 AM.
    • Session II: 11:20 AM to 1:00 PM.
    • Grades 11 and 12 are offered in Session I only.
  3. CMH Registration Procedure:
    a. Bala Vihar registration for the 2025-2026 school year requires in-person registration by a parent. Registration cannot be completed via email, phone, or online.
    b. Bala Vihar registration is currently closed as due to overwhelming response our classes have reached full capacity . Use this link to submit a wait list request and we will reach out as soon as space becomes available.
    c. Registration Process: September 2025 to May 2026.
      • A parent must register the child in Bala Vihar.
      • Children must attend Bala Vihar class on the day of registration.
      • Future dated registrations are not permitted.
      • Please check the availability before arriving on site.
      • Registration timings:
        • Session I: 8:00 AM – 8:35 AM
        • Session II: 10:50 AM – 11:20 AM

4. CMH Registration Policies:

a. Non-refundable registration amount is $25 per family with 1 or no child and max $50 for two or more children registering at the same time.
b. A child’s Bala Vihar grade must be the same as their 2025-2026 school grade.
c. Pre-K age requirement:

      • Child must be 4 yrs. old or older (completed 4th birthday) on or before the date of registration.
      • Exception for August open registration: Child must turn 4 yrs by Sept 7.

d. For Bala Vihar students in Pre-K through Grade 11, one of the parents must regularly attend the adult class.
e. Dress Code: Indian Dress or Chinmaya Mission T-shirt with long pants. Shorts and sleeveless are not allowed for both adults and children.
f. Electronics Device Policy: To minimize distractions and foster a focused learning environment, children are not allowed to bring electronic devices (smartwatches, earbuds, phones, etc.) into the CMH.
