In order to prepare children for the Gita Chanting Competition (GCC), we will have Gita Chanting classes instead of Slokathon, from Feb 4 to Apr. 29, 2018. Slokathon children will attend GCC classes.

Chanting Classes for Balavihara children will be held every Sunday at Chinmaya Prabha from February 3rd to April 29th.
Bala Vihar children are required to attend classes for their respective sessions as below:

2. Gita Chanting Competition for Bala Vihar children on May 5, 2018
On the occasion of Pujya Gurudeva’s birthday, we conduct Gita Chanting Competition for our Bala Vihar children every year.
This year the competition is on Bhagavad Gita Chapter 16 and will be held on Saturday, May 05. The schedule is as below:

5. Houston CHYK Camp June 15-17, 2018
The Evolution Within: From Prosperity to Peace
The Houston CHYKs would like to invite all CHYKs to join us from June 15-17, 2018 for an amazing weekend camp at Chinmaya Mission Houston.
The camp will be guided by Acarya Vivekji from Niagara Falls and includes discourses with Br. Shweta Chaitanya from Houston.
The theme of the CHYK camp is The Evolution Within: From Prosperity to Peace. In this retreat we will learn how to harness and channel the power of the mind to create a dynamic life of peace and poise.
The camp is open to 11th and 12th graders, college students, and young professionals up to age 28. Registration is open and can be done on https://www.chykwest.com/houstoncamp2018/
