Bala Vihar Re-enrollment for 2025-26 

We are preparing for Bala Vihar re-enrollment for the 2025-26 academic year. Eligible members will receive re-enrollment forms by April 20. To be eligible for re-enrollment, please note the following criteria:

1. Students should be regular in attending Bala Vihar classes. There should not be any unexcused absence for more than 5 days.

2. The member’s family should be in good standing with Gurudaksina’s contribution.

  • Members should have submitted the pledge form for the School year 2024 & 2025.
  • Members should have contributed towards the 2024 & 2025 pledges.

Sri Rama Navami Celebrations  Saturday, Apr. 5

Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya will celebrate Sri Rama Navami on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Please join the puja with friends and family and receive Lord Rama’s grace and blessings. Also participate in the special Arati at noon. 

Schedule:

11:30 AM – 12:00 Noon: Sri Rama Astottara and Arati

07:00 PM – 08:00 PM: Sri Rama Raksa Stotra Parayana and Arati

Temple Hours for darshan: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM – 08:00 PM 

Rama Arcana will be performed on request during temple hours.

CMH Student Council Skit – Trigunas Sunday, Apr. 13

In honor of Pujya Darshana Aunty and her lasting contributions to Bala Vihar, the CMH Student Council will be presenting a special skit titled Trigunas on Sunday, April 13, during the assembly in the Smrti during both sessions.

Please join us as we celebrate her legacy through this inspiring student-led performance!

Year-to-date Contribution Statements Sent

Year-to-date contribution statements have been emailed on March 31 for your reconciliation. If you did not receive your statement or find any discrepancies, please visit the Contribution Desk this Sunday or write to CMHContributions@chinmayahouston.org

CORD USA Summer Service Visit 2025 – Now Open for Student Applications!

We’re excited to announce that applications for CORD USA Summer Service Visits 2025 are now open for students! To ensure the best experience for everyone involved, please take note of the following important information:

Details of the visit:

Where: CORD Siruvani, India

Dates: July 27, 2025 (Sunday) to August 9, 2025 (Saturday)

Registration Fee:  $1500

– $250 non-refundable fee per person for application registration

– $1250 after the application is accepted.

Chaperone Selection: Student applications will open only after chaperones have been selected. Once chosen, chaperones will receive all relevant information.

Full Program Commitment: Chaperones and students must commit to attending the entire program. Partial participation is not permitted.

Individual Applications: Each student must complete their own application independently. Applications submitted by a parent or guardian will be disqualified.

Visa and OCI Requirements: Participants must meet the visa requirements set by the Government of India or hold an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card.

Accurate Contact Information: Ensure all email addresses are entered correctly during the application process. We are not responsible for errors, especially in the email addresses provided.

Self-Reliance During the Program: Students will spend two weeks in rural India, away from their families. They must be self-reliant and use their own email and cell phones for preparatory meetings and communication.

Email Acknowledgment: After submitting your application, you will receive an email acknowledgment. Further updates will be communicated via email—please check your spam folder regularly.

Recommendation Letter: As a chaperone, we require a recommendation from your Chinmaya Mission Center coordinator. As a student participant, we require a recommendation letter from your current Bala Vihar teacher. An email will be automatically sent to her/him once you apply.

Payment and Visit Details: Detailed payment and visit information can be found in the FAQ document. It is essential to download, read, and accept the terms and conditions before applying. Applications are evaluated by a National team and their decisions are final.

Spiritual Camp by Vivekji from Chinmaya Mission Niagara for CMH High Schoolers

Vivekji from Chinmaya Mission Niagara will lead a camp for CMH High School students and in addition to this, Vivek ji will also have Satsanga for CMH adults and CHYKs.

What: CMH High School camp (current 8th to 12th grade students)
