1. CMH Summer Schedule  – Aug. 04 to Aug. 25, 2013

During this time we have only one session of classes. The timing for Sunday satsangas is:

10:50 AM – 12:30 PM

Adult Satsanga, CHYK class and Bala Vihar classes for grades PreK through 11

Bhajana, Slokathon, Orchestra and Language classes will not be conducted during the Summer Session.

Lunch program will continue as usual, after the satsanga at 12:30 PM

2. Bala Vihar Registration for New Members

Our New Year for Bala Vihar starts from September 8, 2013. Bala Vihar rosters are getting full. We may freeze enrollment into Bala Vihar in September, based on class strength.

The good news, however, is that CURRENTLY WE HAVE ENROLLMENT OPEN IN ALL GRADES IN BOTH SESSIONS. If you are aware of any of your friends/relatives who might like their children enrolled in Bala Vihar, please encourage them to register in the month of August, to avoid future disappointment.

3. CORD USA Youth Service Visit Update – Aug. 05 to Aug. 17, 2013

This year, two of our CMH youth are fortunate to be a part of a group of 18 students serving at Chinmaya Vijaya – All Girls Orphanage in Kaza, AP, India.

Our member Vinod Sharma is serving as a parent chaperone along with two other parents from the LA area and Canada. He writes back, “The abundance of acceptance, caring, gentleness mixed with structure and discipline for the 110 girls (LKG – 8) is simply remarkable. The branches, vines, fruits and flowers that continue to spread from the giving tree Gurudev planted are so beautiful and sweet.”

Such visits leave extraordinary impressions and insights into serving the under served in a structured and disciplined environment. Spots are limited and most of them get filled up way before the deadline as you can apply as early as you wish, for a spot next year. This year none of our students could make to the group of 30 who went to serve in Sidhbari. Thus, we urge parents and youth to start thinking about it now so they can act promptly when notified. 4. Ayurvedic Consultation at CMH

Vaidya Sunita Tarkunde conducts Ayurvedic Consultations for members of Chinmaya Mission Houston on Monday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Tapovan room (the basement of our mandir). Each individual gets approximately 15 minutes for wellness consultations.

There is no fee for these consultations, but donations are welcome. Checks should be made payable to “CMH.”

5. Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya

Temple timing:
