CMH Picnic on Saturday, April 06, 2024 to celebrate the 108th Janma Jayanti of Pujya Gurudeva

We are celebrating Pujya Gurudeva’s 108th Janma Jayanti this year! Our “Family Events Team” is planning a fun-filled picnic to mark this special occasion. The picnic will be on Saturday, April 6 and it will be for our Chinmaya Family members. What better way to remember Pujya Gurudeva and celebrate His teachings and blessings!

T-shirt Contest

The fun and learning never stops at CMH! Thus, to make the picnic celebrations even more exciting, we are giving an opportunity to all our young members (elementary, middle & high school) to design our very own Gurudeva’s 108th Anniversary T-shirt. Pick up some paper, pencil, paint and come up with an exciting design for the front of the T-shirt. Scan your design and submit your design in pdf or jpeg format using the following file naming convention:

Firstname.Lastname.pdf or Firstname.Lastname.jpg

Please upload your design to Gurudeva’s 108th Birth Anniversary Picnic. If your design is picked, not only will you win a free t-shirt that you have designed, but you will also win an exciting prize on April 6th at the picnic.

Suggested design and submission guidelines are below:

●     Design should be focused around Pujya Gurudeva, his 108th birth anniversary and his Chinmaya Mission legacy.

●     Colors should be selected keeping in mind that the t-shirt will be the color white.

●     Feel free to use words and/or design.

●     Design should be clean/clear and easily readable/visible.

●     File should be in PDF or JPEG format only.

●     Put your Full name and Grade on the top of the sheet and centered. Also make sure that it is clearly visible in the submitted file.

Get started now – deadline to submit the design is Wednesday, Feb. 27 @ 8:00 pm CT.

Don’t forget all files have to be sent using the file naming convention mentioned above and in PDF or JPEG format. Moreover, the design should be clearly visible.

Best of luck!

Chant Gita, Learn Gita, Live Gita

We are learning to chant verses from Chapter 4 of Bhagavad Gita in Smrti Hall.

The chanting is being done in a lead-follow format.

Children and adults are strongly encouraged to bring a print-out of Gita Chapter 4. Please refrain from using your devices to access the text online.

Children in Sarasvati Nilayam are also learning the verses every Sunday. Please give them their own printed copy.

We would like everyone to learn Gita verses, and commit to learning as a family, as it is our offering to Pujya Gurudeva Swami Chinmayananda.
