2. Lock-in for grades 9-12 Friday April 8, 2011
CHYKs are proud to announce that there will be a High School Lock-in for Grades 9th through 12th next month.

Highlight: The CHYKs and other business professionals are planning a seminar about what future graduates can expect in college and in their profession.

3. Lock-in for grades KG-4 – Friday April 15, 2011
CMH youth council is planning a lock-in for grades KG-4 on April 15. This is a very popular event and children always look forward to this great fun night at the Mission. Due to limited space, we have to restrict the number of children. This year the cut-off number is 120. Please plan to buy your tickets this coming Sunday to secure your place for lock-in.

5. Class Picnics for Bala Vihar
Room parents for each grade have planned class picnics for their respective grades, during the month of April. This is a great opportunity for your family to know all your children’s classmates, their families as well as their teachers, in an informal setup, while enjoying great outdoor activities.
Please participate and work with the room parents to make this a success.
6. Gita Chanting Competition – Saturday, May 7, 2011
Gita chanting competition for Bala Vihar children will be held on the occasion of Gurudeva Chinmayanadaji’s birthday celebration. Bhagavad Gita Chapter 9 is selected for this year’s competition.
The competition will be held in 4 groups:
Group 1 : Grades KG – 2 Group 2 : Grades 3 – 5
Group 3 : Grades 6 – 8 Group 4 : Grades 9 – 12
To register fill out the registration form (one per participant) and bring to the Gita chanting competition registration desk by April 3, 2011 along with registration fee – $ 5 for each participant.

7. Book Store – Book for March/April
“Journey called Life” a Mananam publication has been chosen as the second book in the series. Mananam is a publication by Chinmaya Mission West which helps devotees and students of Vedanta with a very fine collection of articles by various masters. The book will be available in the book store.
