CMH Calendar & Summer Schedule – May 20 thru Sep. 7, 2024
Currently the CMH Summer schedule is in progress, and there are no Bala Vihar classes or adult Satsanga. The next academic year will start on Sep. 8, 2024.

Bala Vihar Re-enrollment for 2024-25
Our new Bala Vihar year begins on September 8, 2024. Bala Vihar re-enrollment links for the 2024-2025 academic year were emailed on Saturday, April 27th to the eligible families (must be attending regularly and should have submitted their Gurudaksina pledges). Please verify your individual forms, and make the necessary edits to ensure that the following information is correct:
- Grade the Bala Vihar child will be attending in September 2024
- Session you would like to attend for the year 2024-2025
- Enter proper selection for the extra class option – only one extra class can be selected.
- Please check all the pre-filled information and make changes where required.
National Junior CHYK Camp for High School Jul. 01 – Jul. 05, 2024
Mark your calendars for the National Junior CHYK Camp (NJCC) for high school students! This adventurous spiritual retreat will be held at Chinmaya Mangalam in Corsicana, Texas.
The camp’s fun and creative activities and classes will provide a platform for like-minded teens to meet and learn from each other, grow spiritually, build strong friendships, and help better prepare them for the pressure-filled college life of today. The curriculum will be based on Yuva Govindam: Bhaja Govindam for Youth.
Planned activities include innovative workshops on stress management, facing fears, and teamwork, as well as sports and a talent show.
This camp is open to:
High school students who are currently in grades 8 to 12 (graduating between the years 2024 to 2028). This includes 2024 graduating high school seniors and incoming high school freshmen.
Retreat Dates: Monday, July 1st @ 4:00PM to Friday, July 5th, 2024 @12:00PM
Venue: Chinmaya Mangalam in Corsicana, TX
Cost: $250/ per student (Room and Board included)
Transportation: We are organizing a carpool for our members. Private bus options may be available if at least 30 students from Houston are registered.

CHYK Camps for college and young professionals
Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (CHYK) is the youth wing of Chinmaya Mission for college students and young professionals. The CHYK motto is “Harnessing Youth Potential through Dynamic Spirituality”. We have many camps and retreats this summer that harness the youth’s potential for navigating the challenges of college and early careers.
