1. Gita Chanting Competition for CMH – Sat. May 2, 2015
As part of Pujya Gurudeva’s birth centenary celebrations, Chinmaya Mission Worldwide has organised an International Gita Chanting Competition.
The program for the day will be as follows:

Please be there in time for check in by 8:00 AM. The check –in-desk will be in the Teacher’s lounge. Please be seated latest by 8:30 AM in Smrti Hall
Please use Bala Mandir entrance to enter the building when you come to register.
An email with further details has already been sent to all participants.
Even if your child is not participating, you are welcome to come and enjoy this event.
2. Pujya Gurudev’s Jayanti song
As announced in the class last Sunday, please download “Janmadina” song for Pujya Gurudev
3. Grades Pre K- 12 will be in Smrti Hall this Sunday for first half an hour
Children in grade PreK-6 should come straight to the Smrti Hall and sit according to their grades in the front section of the Hall.
Children in grades 7 – 12 should sit with their parents in the Smrti Hall
4. Last day for Walkathon T-shirt package pickup – Sun, May 03
- Registration nos. were sent to all registrants via email on Apr. 14
- Find your number and come to the Temple side foyer immediately after class to pick up your package.
- Volunteers do not want to be distributing on May 09 the day of the Walkathon. However, if for some reason you have not picked up your t-shirts by this Sunday, you must pick them up before 7:15 AM on May 09
- Some members could not get the appropriate t-shirt sizes because of late registration. We now have limited stock in all sizes for such members who can come up to the Smrti stage for an exchange .

6. Buy your tickets for the movie “On A Quest”

We are pleased to announce that tickets to the movie, “On a Quest” can now be purchased online and also at CMH after each session in the dining area.
The movie continues to receive rave reviews from audiences around the world as you can see from the review in The Hindu Newspaper published soon after the movie was released.
Ticket availability is limited so we encourage you to purchase as soon as possible. After your purchase is complete, you will receive an email with details on how you can collect your tickets.
7. “On A Quest” Audio Musical CD available in Bookstore
CMH has received 100 copies of this CD which has a couple of Bhajanas and some musical interludes from the movie “On A Quest”. You can purchase these from the Book Store this Sunday for $3/- each.
8. Deadline for Bala Vihar Re-Enrollment for 2015-2016 – Fri. May 22, 2015

9. Jnana Yajna with Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda Jul. 6 to Jul. 13, 2015
Please mark your calendars for a week long Jnana Yajna of evening pravacanas with Pujya Guruji on Bhagavad Gita – Chapter 18.

10. CHYK Camp at CMH – June 21-26, 2015
CMH is hosting a CHYK camp – “Meditation and Life: Wake the Sleeping Giant” – from June 21-26 at Chinmaya Prabha. Discourses, discussions, and workshops will be led by Acarya Gaurang Uncle and Acarya Vivekji.
This camp will be wonderful for CHYKs (ages 18-35), to kick start their meditation practice and be inspired to live more mindfully. There will also be sessions for JCHYKs (incoming 9th-12th graders) and evening sessions for working young professionals.

Chinmaya Mission Houston has been accepted into the matching gift programs at Chevron, JP Morgan Chase, Shell, Microsoft, Citgo, Apple and Phillips 66 (recent addition).
These employers match employee contributions made to a company approved non-profit organization. If you are an employee of one of these companies, please avail of this facility by contacting the appropriate department within your organization. Some employers like Chevron even match employee volunteer hours by making a financial contribution that they compute based on the number of volunteer hours an employee has put in.
