Time: 9:00AM till 12:00 Noon.
It will be a fulfilling experience. Please join hands and serve with the Maintenance team on this day.
2. Sri Rama Navami at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya – Sat. March 28, 2015
Sri Rama Navami will be celebrated at our Saumyakasi Sivalaya on Saturday, March 28, 2015. Please participate in the special pujas, with friends and family, and receive the grace & blessings of Lord Rama on this auspicious occasion. The Details are as under:

3. Lock-In for Bala Vihar Grades 3 & 4 – Fri. Apr. 03, 2015
The Student Council is holding its annual Lock-In for Bala Vihar children in Grades 3 & 4. This is a social evening filled with games and entertainment for our children, and is a much awaited event.

Tickets: $10 for children & $5 for volunteers
A lock-in with so many small children needs a lot of supervision. We are therefore requesting interested adults to sign up at the ticket desk.

5. Walkathon on Sat. May 09, 2015 – Online Registration Now Open
· As announced in the class last Sunday, Walkathon online registration is now open. First time users will need to create an account before registering. Please follow instructions until you fill in all the credit card information. One adult in the family can register for other members too, including invited friends. Once the payment has gone through, you will receive a confirmation email. · We urge all members to kindly register your family members and friends (including those who are not Mission members) well before the April 6 registration deadline, in order to allow adequate time for preparing t-shirts. You may change information and add participants until April 6 by logging in with your account. · Answers to frequently asked questions are posted on the registration site.
· We recommend using Google Chrome and Internet Explorer browsers on a PC, laptop or tablet.
· A help desk will be set up in the dining area on Sundays between the two sessions and after the second session to answer questions and provide online registration assistance.
· Instructions for collecting registration packets will be emailed by April 12.

6. Gita Chanting Competition for CMH – Sat. May 2, 2015
As part of Pujya Gurudeva’s birth centenary celebrations, Chinmaya Mission Worldwide has organised an International Gita Chanting Competition.
The first round of competition (Competition for CMH) will be held on May 2.
Bhagavad Gita Chapter 15 has been selected for this year’s competition.
The competition will be held in various groups based on children’s age.

The Gita chanting classes will be held every Sunday at Chinmaya Prabha from February 08 to April 26 as under:

Chinmaya Mission Houston has been accepted into the matching gift programs at Chevron, JP Morgan Chase, Shell, Microsoft, Citgo, and Apple and Phillips 66 (recent addition).
These employers match employee contributions made to a company approved non-profit organization. If you are an employee of one of these companies, please avail of this facility by contacting the appropriate department within your organization. Some employers like Chevron even match employee volunteer hours by making a financial contribution that they compute based on the number of volunteer hours an employee has put in.
