3. Tuesday Study Group by Poojya Uncle starting Jan. 02, 2018
Starting Tuesday Jan. 02, 2018, Poojya Uncle will start teaching the text – “Drg Drsya Viveka”
Time: 7:30-9:00 PM
Where: Tapovan Room (in the Sivalaya Basement)
Books are expected to be in the book store on Sun. Dec. 17.
4. 2017 Contribution Statements
2017 YTD contribution statements are being emailed this week for your year-end reconciliation and planning purposes. You should receive a statement if you made a contribution in 2017. Please contact CMHContributions@chinmayahouston.org if there are any discrepancies or if you have not received your statement by Friday, December 14, 2017. Final contribution statements will be provided next year prior to the tax filing period.

5. 2018 Gurudaksina Pledges
Every year on Dipavali day, we offer Gurudaksina to our Acaryas. Families who have not yet submitted their Gurudaksina pledge forms for 2018 are requested to submit these forms at the Contribution Desk this Sunday. Click here if you wish to download a pledge form. 6. CMH Student Council seeking new members
CMH Student Council is seeking new members. We invite CMH Bala Vihar High school students to apply for the Student Council. We will be selecting up to 20 new members. Following is the selection process:
CMH Bala Vihar High School Students to submit a one page essay on “Why I like Chinmaya Houston, and activities that I am involved in at CMH”. Please specify for how many years you have been attending Mssion.
- Please send the essay by email to “CMHSTUDENTCOUNCIL@GMAIL.COM”.
- Deadline for submitting the essay is December 31st, 2017
- Selection will be confirmed by email on January 10th, 2018.
7. CMH Photo Directory Update 2017
Every few years CMH updates its Members’ photo directory. This directory is a great resource for all members to connect. We are excited to announce that we will be updating our Photo directory this year.

8. New Year Puja at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya Mon. Jan. 01, 2018
Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya will perform Sri Ganesa Homam followed by Sri Visnusahasranama Puja to welcome the New Year, 2018. Please join us for puja with friends and family, and make an auspicious beginning to 2018 with the blessings of Bhagawan Siva.
The puja will be from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Temple Hours: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM – 08:00 PM
