Please note: Bhajana classes alternate with the Slokathon/Orchestra classes every other Sunday.

2. Lunch Program Available – Sunday, May 21, 2017

Though the kitchen is not fully functional, the Kitchen team has planned to serve lunch, so you may plan to participate in the lunch program this Sunday.

3. Graduation Ceremony – Sat. May 20, 2017

On Sat. May 20, we will have a special program in honor of our graduating class.

Program will be as follows:

	8:45 AM	Short Puja for Graduates in Sivalaya Procession from Sivalaya to Smrti Hall
	9:12 AM – 10:05 AM	Convocation address by Acarya Gaurangbhai Based on Taittereya Upanisad
	10:05 AM – 10:50 AM	Graduation ceremony

All adults and Bala Vihar children in grades 9 – 12 are encouraged to be a part of this special program.

Please plan to be seated in the Smrti Hall by 8:50 AM. Please note that two entrances will be open for members to come to the Smrti Hall – the Smrti main door from the courtyard and the door near the bookstore (north door). If you reach Mission after 8:30 AM, please use the north door to enter the Smrti Hall.

4. Bala Vihar Re-Enrollment for 2017-2018

Bala Vihar re-enrollment is underway for the 2017-2018 academic year. Eligible families should have received the online re-enrollment link by email. Please fill out the online form and submit it as soon as you can.

Make sure that the following information is correct:

· Grade the Bala Vihar child will be attending in September 2017

· Session you would like to attend for the year 2017-2018

· Enter proper selection for an extra class option – only one extra class can be selected.

· Please check all the pre-filled information and make changes where required.

Deadline to fill out Bala Vihar re-enrollment form is May 31, 2017.

5. Chinmaya Mission Summer Schedule

Sunday May 21 will be our last class before summer break this year.

Both BalaVihar and adult classes will remain closed during the summer time from May 22nd – September 9th. Classes will resume on Sunday, September 10th.

6. Summer Jnana Yajna by Swami Swaroopananda – Aug 11-15, 2017

We are happy to announce that this summer Swami Swaroopananda ji will be conducting the Jnana Yajna at Chinmaya Mission Houston. The schedule for the pravacanas will be as below:

	Aug. 11 – Aug. 15	Evening Pravacana on Ik Onkaar and Japji Sahib Time: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
	Aug. 12 – Aug. 16	Morning Meditation Time: 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM

7. Opportunity to offer Bhiksa to Pujya Swami Swaroopananada during Jnana Yajna

During the Jnana Yajna from August 11 – 15, members will have an opportunity to offer bhiksa to Swami Swaroopanandaji. There will be breakfast, lunch and dinner bhiksas. Interested members are requested to sign up at the welcome desk. The Bhiksa coordinator will contact you with further details.

8. Bala Vihar Teachers’ Training – Aug 19-20, 2017

Acarya Smt. Darshana Auntie will conduct Bala Vihar teachers’ training on August 19-20, 2017. The schedule will be as below:

	Saturday Aug. 19	9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
	Sunday Aug. 20	9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
