Please note Bhajana classes alternate with the Slokathon/Orchestra classes every other Sunday.
This Sunday instead of assembling in the Sarasvati Nilayam or Smrti Hall, all Bala Vihar children should go to their respective classes at the beginning of each session.
2. Chanting classes for Adults
We have resumed Adult chanting class from November 1. If you would like to start attending this class, please give your name, phone number and e-mail address at welcome desk. The person in-charge of this class will contact you.
3. Pizza Treat for Bala Vihar by Pujya Uncle and Auntie
Every year Pujay Gaurang Uncle and Darshana Auntie sponsor pizza lunch for children on Gurudeva’s Mahasamadhi day. This Sunday children will have pizza towards the end of their class.
If your child is allergic to cheese pizza, please let your child’s teacher know about it when you drop your child to their Bala Vihar class. We have made arrangements for cheese-less pizza for them.
4. Dipavali Food Drive by CHYKs Sundays, Nov. 1 & 8, 2015

Let us all open our hearts and pantries to donate as much as possible to the Houston Food Bank, which feeds more than half a million needy people each year. For further details please see flyer. Sun. Nov. 15 is the last day when CHYK volunteers will collect these food items in the Dining Area after both sessions Items to bring for Donation

5. Thank you to our Dipavali gift sponsors
We had a very good and well-attended Dipavali puja last Sunday. We hope that all of you have opened your gifts and are listening to the two CDs. These CDs are sponsored by Dr. Anil and Rucha Seth, and we thank them for it. Also, two books of Pujya Gurudeva are a part of this gift, and we thank Rajani and Darshana Shah for helping us in getting these from India.

Chinmaya Mission Houston has been accepted into the matching gift programs at Chevron, JP Morgan Chase, Shell, Microsoft, Citgo, Apple and Phillips 66 (recent addition).
These employers match employee contributions made to a company approved non-profit organization. If you are an employee of one of these companies, please avail of this facility by contacting the appropriate department within your organization. Some
employers like Chevron even match employee volunteer hours by making a financial contribution that they compute based on the number of volunteer hours an employee has put in.
