3. Mahasivaratri Celebrations at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya – Feb 15 & 21, 2020
Mahasivaratri is the most auspicious festival celebrated at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya. Festivities are planned for Sat. Feb 15 and Fri. Feb 21, 2020 as below.

Maha Mrtyunjaya Homa – Sat, Feb 15, 2020
On the occasion of Mahasivaratri, we will perform Mahamrtyunjaya Homa at Chinmaya Smrti on Saturday, Feb 15 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Mahamrtyunjaya homa is performed for the physical and spiritual well-being of family and friends. This event is open to public.

4. No Slokathon classes from Feb 9 to May 3rd 2020
To prepare children for the Gita Chanting Competition (GCC), we will have Gita classes instead of Slokathon, from Feb 9 to May 3rd. Slokathon children will attend GCC classes.
5. Gita Chanting Competition and classes
Annual Gita Chanting competition will be held on Saturday, May 9 2020 for Bala Vihar children on Chapter 18 of the Bhagavadgita.
Gita Chanting Classes are offered for Balavihara children every Sunday at Chinmaya Prabha from February 9th to May 3rd. Please bring a printed copy of Bhagavad Gita Chapter 18 to the class.

7. Study Group on Self Unfoldment starting Jan. 30, 2020
A new Study Group is starting in the new year. The text is “Self Unfoldment” by Pujya Gurudeva, Swami Chinmayanandaji. This book provides practical wisdom for day to day living. The study group will be led by Shri Ananda Gupta. The details are as below:
