Maha Mrtyunjaya Homa in Smrti Hall – Saturday March 9, 2013
Maha Mrtyunjaya Homa is conducted for health and well being.
Time: 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM
Venue: CMH Smrti Hall
- Please plan to come early. Seating will be on a first come first serve basis, starting from the Smrti Hall and overflowing into the Sarasvati Nilayam and Dining Area, where there will be video projections.
- Homa Samagri and plate will be provided to each family.
- The Homa is open to public.
- The recommended Homa sponsorship amount is $ 21/- per family.

Mahasivaratri Pujas at Sivalaya – Sunday March 10, 2013
There will be two special Rudrabhiseka Pujas in the Sivalaya – one in the morning and one in the evening. Sponsoship amount for all Pujas at Sivalaya for Mahasivaratri is $ 21/-.
Devotees will have opportunity to offer Ksirabhisekam to Utsava Lingam all day long at the Sivalaya.
The evening Pujas will be followed by Meditation and Maha Arati at midnight.

Mahasivaratri Satsangas at Chinmaya Smrti – Sunday March 10, 2013
To celebrate Mahasivaratri, we will have special discourses for adults. These will be held in place of regular adult satsangas.
The highlight of the adults satsanga will be :
Special Pravacana on Siva Manasa Puja By Acarya Sri Gaurang Nanavaty
8:35 AM – 10:15 AM Satsanga I for adults & Bala Vihar grades PreK-10 & grade 12
11:20 AM – 1:00 PM Satsanga II for adults, CHYKs, Bala Vihar grades PreK-11
Please note:
- Pravacana for adults is open to public – no children will be allowed to attend this session.
- To be able to attend the adult satsanga, plan to be seated in the satsanga hall at designated time.
- Late comers will not be allowed in the satsanga hall.
- Bala Vihar classes will be only for regulat CMH Bala Vihar students.
- All Bala Vihar children need to go directly to their classrooms.
- In the first 45 minutes of each class the teachers will be taking the Bala Vihar children to the temple to participate in Ksirabhiseka at the Sivalaya and in the last 45 minutes the adults will do so.
- Parents of Bala Vihar Children in Grades Pre k through 3 are required to sit in the back of the Smrti Hall closer to the back exit so they can do the Abhiseka first and pick up their children immediately thereafter.
- There will be no Language / Bhajana / Slokathon/ GCC classes on Mar. 10.
- There will be no lunch program on Mar. 10
- This celebration is open to public and based on last year’s experience we get thousands of devotees visiting the temple. Therefore, please follow the parking volunteers’ instructions with regard to parking.
- Volunteers will guide you with the flow for the Abhiseka at Sivalaya.
- There will be prasada distribution on both exits.
