Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s Janmajayanti Sunday, May 11

On May 8, we honor the 109th birth anniversary of our beloved Pujya Gurudeva Swami Chinmayananda ji. To celebrate this auspicious occasion, we will hold a special program in Smrti Hall on Sunday, May 11. Please see the important instructions below:

• All Bala Vihar children (Grades Pre-K to 12) assemble in Smrti Hall.
• Adults will be seated in the dining area and Saraswati Nilayam.
• Please come dressed in festive Indian attire.
• Children, please do not bring bags as we will have limited space in the Smrti Hall.
• Parents of Pre-K children are requested to sit in the reserved area in Smrti.
• Our Welcome volunteers will guide children and adults to their respective seating areas, please follow their instructions.

Bala Vihar Re-enrollment for 2025-26 Saturday, May 31 

Bala Vihar re-enrollment links for the 2025-2026 academic year have been emailed on Sunday, April 13 to the eligible families (must be attending regularly and have contributed their Gurudaksina pledges).

Submitting the re-enrollment form is the only way to guarantee your child’s spot in Bala Vihar for the next academic year. The deadline to submit the form is May 31st. Missing the submission deadline will require re-registering the child into Bala Vihar, and availability is dependent on classroom capacity at that time. 

Please verify your individual forms, and make the necessary edits to ensure that the following information is correct:

• The Bala Vihar Grade your child will be attending in September 2025
• Session you would like to attend for the year 2025-2026
• Enter proper selection for the extra class option – only one extra class can be selected.
• Please check all the pre-filled information and make changes where required.

CMH Summer Break May 19 – Sep. 6

The last day of Bala Vihar for the academic year 2024-2025 will be Sunday, May 18. CMH will remain closed May 19th – Sep. 6th for summer break.

Our new Bala Vihar year begins on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Summer Satsanga Events with Vivekji (Chinmaya Mission Niagara)

We are excited to welcome Sri Vivekji from Chinmaya Mission Niagara for a week of spiritual learning and inspiration this summer at CMH!

JCHYK Day Camp for current 8th to 12th grade students

• Dates: Monday, June 23 – Friday, June 27
• Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Topic: Loving What You Do — based on Sri Ramana Maharshi’s Upadesa Sara (Verses 1–10)
• Early Bird Special: $100 per participant

Chinmaya Mission West

A.  National Junior CHYK Retreat for High School       Jul. 01 – Jul. 05

Get ready for an unforgettable spiritual adventure at Chinmaya Mangalam, our beautiful 143-acre ashram retreat center in Barry, Texas!  

The National Junior CHYK Retreat (NJCR) is designed for teens and recent high school graduates who are seeking meaningful connections, personal growth, and a deeper understanding of themselves. Through creative workshops, inspiring classes, bonding activities, and team-building challenges, participants will gain tools to navigate both high school and the transition to college with confidence and clarity. 

Highlights Include:

• Inspiring satsangs and workshops on stress, fear, and self-growth
• Sports, talent show, and creative team-building
• Connection with like-minded teens from across the country

Who can Attend:   Grades 8–12 (graduating between 2025 and 2029), including 2025 graduates and incoming high school freshmen.

Retreat Dates: 4:00 PM Tuesday, July 1 to 12:00 PM Saturday, July 5, 2025 

Venue: Chinmaya Mangalam in Barry, TX

Cost:   TBA   (Room and Board included)

Transportation: We are organizing an optional carpool for our members.
