Gita Chanting Competition (GCC)                     Saturday, Apr. 25 

In honor of Pujya Gurudeva’s Janma Jayanti and the 75th anniversary of the Chinmaya Movement, we will hold the annual Gita Chanting Competition on Saturday, April 25. The last date for registration is now past due. GCC Classes will go on till this Sunday, April 19th. We cordially invite all the Chinmaya families to attend this event and encourage all participants.

Chinmaya Gita Samarpanam – Online Collective Chanting  Saturday, May 9 

Let us unite hearts and voices around the world in offering gratitude to Bhagawan and Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda,  celebrating the timeless wisdom of the Gita and be a part of this historical global event of Chinmaya Mission, by chanting together the Bhagavad Gita Chapter 15 — “Purushottam Yoga”.  This event is a Guiness World Record attempt by Chinmaya Mission for “Most people chanting online simultaneously” (Target: 108,000 participants)

CGS needs some tech-savvy sevaks to serve as Webex Hosts on May 9

What you need to do to be a Web Host:

1. A good laptop; an external monitor would be very helpful.

2. Be willing to register and activate the free Webex license when received.

3. Be comfortable downloading OBS software.

4. Attend a 1-hour training session.

5. Be ready to host a group of participants assigned to you.

As a Host, what you will do:

1. Start the Webex meeting and admit participants.

2. Share the Chapter 15 script for everyone to read from.

3. Record the chanting using OBS and upload it to the portal after the session.

Summer Satsanga Events with Vivekji at CMH         Jun. 8 – Jun. 11

We are excited to welcome Sri Vivekji from Chinmaya Mission Niagara for a week of spiritual learning, reflection, and growth this summer at CMH!

JCHYK Day Camp for current 8th to 12th grade students

Dates: Monday, June 8 – Thursday, June 11

Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Theme: Fostering Sacred Confidence (Based on Chapter 6 of the Bhagavad Gita)

In today’s fast-paced and distracting world, students often struggle with stress, self-doubt, and lack of focus. This camp is designed to help them build inner confidence, clarity, and discipline through timeless wisdom and practical guidance.

Bhaja Govindam composed by Adi Shankaracharya is aimed at shattering illusions of Samsara for seekers, intellectuals and those trapped in the materialistic world.

National Junior CHYK Retreat at Chinmaya Mangalam    Jul. 1 – Jul. 5

The National Junior CHYK Retreat (NJCR) is designed for teens and recent high school graduates who are seeking meaningful connections, personal growth, and a deeper understanding of themselves.

This year dive into the Gita Panchamrit!  With discourses by our dynamic Swami Prakashanandaji of Chinmaya Mission Trinidad & Tobago!

Gita Panchamrit are 5 verses specially chosen from the Bhagavad Gita, offering a complete spiritual path, guiding the seeker from self-effort to surrender and from purposeful action to inner freedom.

Who can Attend:   Grades 8–12 (graduating between 2026 and 2030), including 2026 graduates and incoming high school freshmen.

Retreat Dates: 4:00 PM Wednesday, July 1 to 12:00 PM Sunday, July 5, 2026

Venue: Chinmaya Mangalam in Barry, TX

Cost:   $250  (Room and Board included)

Transportation: We are organizing an optional carpool for our members.

CORD USA Summer Service Visit                 Jul. 4 – Jul. 18

We’re excited to announce that applications for CORD USA Summer Service Visits 2026 are now open for students! To ensure the best experience for everyone involved, please take note of the following important information:

Where: CORD Siruvani, India

Dates: Saturday, July 4, 2026 through Saturday July 18, 2026

Registration Fee: $1500

  • $250 non-refundable fee per person for application registration
  • $1250 after the application is accepted. 

Chaperone Selection: Student applications open only after chaperones have been selected. Once chosen, chaperones receive all relevant information before the student application opens.

Full Program Commitment: Chaperones and students must commit to attending the entire program. Partial participation is not permitted.

Individual Applications: Each student must complete their own application independently. Applications submitted by a parent or guardian will be disqualified.

Visa and OCI Requirements: Participants must meet the visa requirements set by the Government of India or hold an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card.

Accurate Contact Information: Ensure all email addresses are entered correctly during the application process. We are not responsible for errors, especially in the email addresses provided.

Self-Reliance During the Program: Students will spend two weeks in rural India, away from their families. They must be self-reliant and use their own email and cell phones for preparatory meetings and communication.

Email Acknowledgment: After submitting your application, you will receive an email acknowledgment. Further updates will be communicated via email—please check your spam folder regularly.

Recommendation Letter: As a chaperone, we require a recommendation from your Chinmaya Mission Center coordinator. As a student participant, we require a recommendation letter from your current Bala Vihar teacher. An email will be automatically sent to her/him once you apply.

Payment and Visit Details: Detailed payment and visit information can be found in the FAQ document. It is essential to download, read, and accept the terms and conditions before applying. Applications are evaluated by a National team and their decisions are final.
