1. New Bala Vihar Year & Adult Satsangas start Sun. Sep. 9, 2018
We are excited to start the new Bala Vihar year and Adult Satsanga from this Sunday Sep. 9, 2018. All teachers and sevaks have been working with zeal in preparations for the Opening Day.
The timings will be as under:
8:35 AM – 10:15 AM Satsanga I for adults, Bala Vihar grades PreK-12
11:20 AM – 1:00 PM Satsanga II for adults, Bala Vihar grades PreK-10
- A special program has been planned for the first 20 minutes of the opening day.
- After the first 20 minutes, we will have regular satsanga and classes.
- All children from Pre K to Grade 12 should come straight to Smrti and must be seated by 8:30 AM for the first session, and 11:15 AM for the second session. Anyone who is not seated by this time may have to sit in the dining area.
- Please make sure that children do not carry any bags or books with them.
- Please note that the main door to Chinmaya Prabha will close at 8:45 AM & 11:30 AM.
- Except for Pre-KG, all Bala Vihar grades in both sessions are under freeze for the rest of the year.
We encourage all adults and children to wear festive Indian clothes to herald the spirit of the Bala Vihar New Year.
After the Bala Vihar classes, Children in Grades Pre K – 3 must be picked up from their respective classrooms by parents.

2. Ganesa Caturthi – Wed, Sep 12, 2018
Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya welcomes you with family and friends, to participate in the Puja, and receive the blessings of Lord Ganesa on the auspicious occasion of Ganesa Caturthi on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.
The program is as follows:

8:30 PM – 9:00 PM Darsana and Prasada

Sri Ganesa Astottara-sata-nama Arcana will be performed all day long on request.
