Ramanavami Celebrations at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya – April 3, 2009
Please join us with your family and friends for Sri Ramanavami celebrations at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya on Friday April 3, 2009.
Sri Rama-raksa Stotra puja will be performed on this occassion. Rama-raksa Stotra is a devotional hymn in praise of the glory of Lord Sri Rama. Chanting of this stotra is said to boost the intelligence by sharpening the memory (smarana sakti), concentration (ekagrata), and self-confidence (atma visvasa).
Temple schedule for Ramanavami Day (April 3, 2009) is as follows:
Morning – Temple open from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Rama-raksa Stotra Puja: 11:30 AM
- Arati: 12:00 Noon
Evening – Temple open from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- Rama-raksa Stotra Puja: 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM
- Arati: 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM
For devotees visiting the temple at other times during the day, Sri Rama Astottara-sata-nama Arcana will be performed on request.
Puja offerings of $21 for Rama Raksha Stotra can be made at the contribution desk or information desk at the temple. You do not have to bring any puja material.

Lock-In for Grades KG-4 on Friday April 10, 2009 – 7 PM
CMH youth is organizing a lock-in for grades KG through 4 on Friday, April 10, 2009. This Sunday, April 5 is the last day for registration.
Registration is limited to the first 101 children only (due to capacity limits). The fee for this event is $12 per participating child. A registration desk will be set up next to the book store after both sessions. You may download the registration form (click here), print and complete the form, sign the permission slip, and bring it with the applicable fee to the registration desk.

As you are aware all of us, Bala Vihar children and parents have a homework assignment: “What idea or concept from our scriptures has touched you the most?” Convey your message on a poster board by writing an essay, a poem, or drawing. This will be your tribute to Pujya Gurudeva. We are sure everyone is working on the assigned homework. If completed, please turn in your work to the team in the dining area.
