Lock-In for Bala Vihar KG to Gr-4 Fri. Feb. 16, 2024
The Student Council is holding its annual Lock-In for Bala Vihar children in grades KG to 4. This is an overnight social filled with games and entertainment for our children and is a much awaited event.
From: Friday, February 16, 2024 at 7:00 PM (drop off)
To: Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 8:00 AM (Pick up)
Registration: $10 for children & $5 for adults or high school volunteers
Cash, Check or Online Payment is accepted on Sunday at the Mission
A lock-in with so many children needs a lot of supervision. We are therefore requesting interested adults to sign up to volunteer at the ticket desk.
Sunday, February 11th is the last day to purchase your tickets. Spots are limited to the first 120 children and 30 volunteers. Please sign up between the sessions or after the 2nd session at the student council desk in the Dining Area. Chant Gita, Learn Gita, Live Gita
We will learn to chant verses from Chapter 4 of Bhagavad Gita in Smrti Hall.
The chanting will be done in a lead-follow format.
Children and adults are strongly encouraged to bring a print-out of Gita Chapter 4. Please refrain from using your devices to access the text online.

Children in Saraswati Nilayam will also be learning the verses every Sunday. Please give them their own printed copy.
We would like everyone to learn Gita verses, and commit to learning as a family, as it is our offering to Pujya Gurudeva Swami Chinmayananda.
Chinmaya Paduka Yatra
We thank all members for the overwhelming response for Chinmaya Paduka Yatra to celebrate Pujya Gurudeva Swami Chinmayananda’s 108th birth centenary year and all spots are taken by devotees to perform Paduka Puja in their homes.
Bala Vihar & Adult Satsangas
Satsanga Timings:
8:35 AM – 10:15 AM Satsanga I for adults & Bala Vihar grades Pre-KG to 12
10:30 AM – 11:15 AM Language classes, Bhajana & Orchestra, and Adult Chanting
Please note – Slokathon classes have been replaced with Gita Chanting classes until April 28th.
11:20 AM – 1:00 PM Satsanga II for adults & Bala Vihar grades Pre-KG to 10
Please give yourself enough time to park and be seated in Smrti Hall/ Sarasvati Nilayam by 8:35 AM (1st Session attendees) and by 11:20 AM (2nd Session attendees).
