2. “SIVOHAM” – A Dance Drama – Sunday February 19, 2012

Dr. Ratna Kumar and her students are giving their time and talent, to help us raise funds for our beloved Pujya Swami Chinmayananda’s Centennial Celebration in India.

We all have been very fortunate to have Vedanta studies at our door step. The credit goes to Swamiji who trained so many Acaryas, who in turn are passing the torch of the sacred knowledge of the scriptures to us commoners. We will always remain indebted to him for this priceless treasure.

We are privileged to have an opportunity to express our gratitude to him by making a contribution towards this grand celebration in his honor.

Sivoham is a dance drama on Lord Siva’s glorious attributions and different facets. It is conceived and presented by Dr. Ratna Kumar and Anjali Center for Performing Arts on the occasion of Mahasivaratri. Program Details are as below:

The project is a comprehensive integrated rural development and women’s empowerment program, initiated with the grace of Pujya Gurudeva Swami Chinmayananda in 1985.

This is a wonderful practical exercise to compliment all the years of Bala Vihar learning. Similar service project visits in the past, have left deep impressions on the participants. This is also a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours for college applications.

Where: CORD Sidhbari, located in the small village of Sidhbari in the Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India

Admittance to this Service Project is on a first come, first served basis. Interested youth and parents are requested to sign up at the Welcome Desk this Sunday.
