2. Contribution Statements – 2012

Contribution statements for the period January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012 have been emailed for your tax filing purposes. If you have not received your statement, please write to CMHContributions@chinmayahouston.org or stop by the Contributions Desk.

3. CORD USA Youth Service Visits in 2013

Based on the enthusiastic interest in the CORD USA’s youth service visit in 2012, we have planned two service visits during the summer of 2013. The details are as below:

Siddhbari, Himachal Pradesh, India –  July 10 to July 30, 2012

The maximum number of participants that can be accommodated is 30 including students and accompanying parents.

Chinmaya Vijaya – All Girls Orphanage in Kaza, AP, India – Mid Aug. 2013

This visit will include volunteering at the adjacent NRI medical college, tutoring the girls, and at the local schools. The total number of participants will be 20.

Both these service opportunities are very popular and provide high impact and offer extraordinary insights into serving the underserved in a structured and disciplined environment.

The cost for registration is $500 and covers the basic cost of housing & meals. Fliers should be ready in January with a registration deadline in Feb. 2013. It will be a first come first served basis and registration will close when the spots are filled. We already have two large groups -one from Toronto and another from New Jersey that have expressed an interest. 4. Ayurvedic Consultation at CMH

Vaidya Sunita Tarkunde conducts Ayurvedic Consultations for members of Chinmaya Mission Houston on Monday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Tapovan room (the basement of our mandir). Each individual gets approximately 15 minutes for wellness consultations.

There is no fee for these consultations, but donations are welcome. Checks should be made payable to “CMH.”
