Dipavali gift pickup at the Contribution Desk this Sunday
Those who could not pick up their Dipavali gift can do so this Sunday at the contribution desk. If you have not offered your annual Gurudaksina pledge already please do so at the Contribution desk on Sunday or online.
Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya: Kumbhabhisekam and Jyotirlinga Yatra – Fri, Nov. 24 to Sun, Nov. 26, 2023
Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya invites you to participate, with friends and family, in the first grand Kumbhabhisekam ceremony since its inauguration. Kumbhabhisekam is performed to re-invite and reinvigorate the divine energies of the deities and also spiritually energize the participants and the community around.
In addition to the Kumbhabhisekam, also get the divine experience of visiting all the 12 Jyotirlinga Mandirs right here in Houston. The temple team is preparing to install beautiful replicas of all twelve Mandirs here in our Sivalaya courtyard. At the conclusion of the rituals and Homas we will perform Abhisekam to the Temple Gopuram, which is the Siva Linga on top of our Sivalaya.

Bala Vihar Movie & Holiday Fun Event Fri. Dec. 08
Our CMH Social Team has organized an outdoor event for BalVihar children to watch their favorite movie “Zootopia” on a large screen in our own courtyard on Friday Dec. 08.. This exciting movie and other fun activities will begin at 6 PM . Ticket price is $8.00 per person and includes light snacks and drinks. More details and the ticket purchase link will be shared next week.
CMH Book Store Annual Sale
Our bookstore is having an annual holiday sale till the end of the year. A purchase of 5 children’s books will have a 10% discount. Please avail of this opportunity to get great Dipavali and holiday gifts to your loved ones.
Balavihar and Adult Satsanga Closings
Please note that there will be no Balavihar classes and adult satsanga on Sunday, Nov. 26 for Thanksgiving break. Instead we are having the Maha Kumbhabhishekam event at our Sivalaya from Friday, Nov. 24 through Sunday, Nov. 26
There will be no Balavihar classes and adult satsanga during the winter break on Dec. 2
4th & Dec. 31st. We will re-open on Jan.7th 2024.

8:35 AM – 10:15 AM Satsanga I for adults & Bala Vihar grades Pre-KG to 12
10:30 AM – 11:15 AM Language classes, Adult Chanting
11:20 AM – 1:00 PM Satsanga II for adults & Bala Vihar grades Pre-KG to 10
Please give yourself enough time to park and be seated in Smrti Hall/ Sarasvati Nilayam by 8:35 AM (1st Session attendees) and by 11:20 AM (2nd Session attendees).
