1. CMH Summer Schedule – June 2 thru August 25, 2013

Our Summer Schedule runs from June 2 to August 25. During this time we have only one session of classes. The timing for Sunday satsangas is:

10:50 AM – 12:30 PM

Adult Satsanga, CHYKs class and
Bala Vihar classes for grades PreK through 11

Bhajana, Slokathon, Orchestra and Language classes will not be conducted during the Summer Session.

Lunch program will continue as usual, after the satsanga at 12:30 PM

Please note there will be no Satsanga or Bala Vihar classes on July 7, 14, 21 & 28, 2013.

There will be Jnana Yajna by Pujya Guruji from July 07 – July 13 (Please refer to item # 5 for further details)

2. Bala Vihar Re-Enrollment for 2013-2014

Bala Vihar re-enrollment forms and instructions were emailed on June 2. The deadline for submitting re-enrollment changes is June 30, 2013. Questions pertaining to re-enrollment should be directed to CMH Registrations.

Please note that all extra classes are available to children in Grade 1 and above only. We do not offer any extra classes for children in KG classes, even if they have been attending mission for more than a year.

3. Pujya Gurudev’s Birth Centenary Celebration – Wheel of Values

The value picked for the current month is “Friendship”.

4. Bala Vihar Play at Stafford Centre – Saturday July 6, 2013

Our Bala Vihar children, teachers and the production crew are working tirelessly to put together this spectacular play for us. It will be a treat for the heart, mind and soul, by our very own children. We encourage one and all to watch this play.

The play will be held on July 6, 2013 at the Stafford Center.

Play Tickets

The tickets are available in the Dining Area each Sunday. We encourage you to buy your tickets ASAP, to avoid the last minute rush.

Those who have pledged or bought the tickets, but have not yet picked them up, are requested to do so at the ticket counter on Sunday. Thank you for your cooperation.

5. Jnana Yajna by Guruji – July 07, 2013 – July 13, 2013

We are delighted to announce that Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayanandaji will be conducting a Jnana Yajna at Chinmaya Prabha, on Svetasvatara Upanisad. This text mainly reveals the true nature of God and how to establish our essential oneness with Him.

Guruji’s captivating and endearing rendition during the last Jnana Yajna in Houston in 2011, had enthralled all attendees, and had left them wanting more.

We encourage all members to plan ahead so they can take vacation during this time and attend all 3 discourses to get the most out of this divine text.

Please note that this is a public event. Share the Jnana Yajna details with all your friends and relatives so maximum people can enrich themselves with this rare opportunity.

Few openings for those who want to offer snack Bhiksa

Members have already signed up for most of the breakfast, lunch and dinner bhiksa spots. We now have a few openings for snack bhiksa. These will be offered between 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM after the 1st Session of the Jnana Yajna, each day, from July 07 to July13. Interested members are requested to sign up at the welcome desk and they will be contacted with further details.

6. Ayurvedic Consultation at CMH

Vaidya Sunita Tarkunde conducts Ayurvedic Consultations for members of Chinmaya Mission Houston on Monday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Tapovan room (the basement of our mandir). Each individual gets approximately 15 minutes for wellness consultations.

There is no fee for these consultations, but donations are welcome. Checks should be made payable to “CMH.”
