Likhita Japa – 21-week period ends February 28, 2009

On October 5, 2008 we started writing the mantra, ‘Om Gam Ganapataye Namah‘ in our Likhita Japa books in order to support the construction of Lord Ganesa’s temple in India. We were to write the mantra 21 times every day for 21 weeks. February 28 marks the end of the 21-week time period. Those who participated should turn in their Japa books to Uncle or the Contribution Desk. Checks must be payable to “CMH” with a “Ganesa Temple – Chinmaya Vibhuti” note in the memo section of the check.

All of us – Bala Vihar children and parents have a homework assignment: “What idea or concept from our scriptures has touched you the most?” Convey your message on a poster board by writing an essay, a poem, or drawing. This will be your tribute to Pujya Gurudeva. Volunteers will be setting up a table in the dining area to sell poster boards and assist with the project.

Lunch with Gaurangbhai and Darshanaben

Uncle and Aunty are inviting families to join them at their table during lunch on Sundays. They see this as a way to strengthen the bond between them and CMH members, and to get to know the families. This is a good opportunity for all us to have one-on-one conversations in an informal setting with our beloved Acaryas. Interested families can sign up at the Welcome Desk, with phone number and email address. Welcome team will contact you with a schedule and provide further details. Lunch is served after the second session at 1 PM.
