2. Rama Navami at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya – Sunday, April 1 2012
Sri Rama Navami will be celebrated at our Saumyakasi Sivalaya on Sunday, April 1, 2012. Please attend the special pujas and receive the blessings of Lord Rama on this auspicious occasion. The Details are as under:
7:00 PM – 8:15 PM: Sri Rama Raksa Stotra Parayana and Puja followed by Arati/Prasada
Sponsorship: Sri Rama Raksa Stotra Puja – $21 per family
Sri Rama Astottara Arcana – $11 per family
Temple Timings: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM
3. New Member Orientation – Sunday, April 1, 2012
On Sunday, April 1 2012, we will be having an orientation for new members or for those who have never attended a CMH orientation so far. We encourage all new members to avail this opportunity to learn a little bit more about our facility and its program.
Time: 10:20 AM
Place: In the class across the library on the second floor.
4. Lunch with our Acaryas
Here is an opportunity for all Chinmaya families to have some one-on-one time with our Pujya Acaryas Gaurang Uncle and Darshana Auntie. A Chinmaya family can join our Acaryas for lunch at their table after second session, every Sunday. This is an informal setting where you can introduce yourself and your family to Auntie and Uncle personally. If you are interested, please sign up at the welcome desk with your contact information. One of the Sevakas will call you and schedule a convenient Sunday.
5. From the Gardening Team
Landscaping volunteers are going to plant several trees and bushes in March. If you would like to sponsor trees and other plants, please contact Sh. Surendra Mital at 281-545-8721 for further details. In future, if you would like to sponsor plants on the occasion of birthdays and/ or wedding celebration of a member of your family or in the memory of your loved one, please contact Surendra Mital.
6. Book of the Month Hinduism- Frequently Asked Questions
This book is published by Chinmaya Mission, under its “Hindu Cultural Series” publications. This is an excellent book which provides concise and precise answers to basic questions about Hinduism, unfolding the foundation upon which Hindu culture rests.
The book is available at the CMH book store.
