2. CMH Summer Schedule – June 3 thru August 26, 2012
From June 3 to August 26, we will have our Summers Schedule, i.e. only one session of classes. The timing for Sunday satsangas will be:
| 10:20 AM – 12:00 Noon | Adult Satsanga, CHYKs class and Bala Vihar classes for grades PreK through 11 |
Bhajana, Slokathon, Orchestra and Language classes will not be conducted during the Summer Session.
Lunch program will continue as usual, after the satsanga at 12:00 Noon
Please note there will be no classes from June 17 thru July 15, 2012
3. Graduation ceremony – Sunday June 10, 2011
On June 10, we will have a special program in honour of our graduating class. More details to follow.
4. Chinmaya Mission West’s Bi-monthly Newsletter for May 2012 available online
We are pleased to announce that the May 2012 issue of CMW News, Chinmaya Mission West’s bi-monthly newsletter, is now online.
The newsletter is now in a NEW format of web pages, for easy viewing on computers and smart phones. Photos can be enlarged by clicking on the images.
5. National Junior CHYK Camp in Brownwood, Texas – June 3 – June 6, 2012
The first ever National Junior CHYK Camp (NJCC) is set to kick off in Brownwood, Texas from June 3 – 6, 2012 at the Texas 4-H Center. Save the date!
This is an adventure retreat for teenagers in Grades 9-12, called Life is a Jungle – Are You Game to Survive?. There will be various planned activities such as a ropes course, zip lining and hiking.
Four acaryas will be leading this camp – Swami Mitrananda, Swami Sarveshananda, Brahmacari Girishji and Acarya Vivekji.
Transportation will be arranged to the retreat center from Chinmaya Vatika (Austin), and Chinmaya Chitrakoot (Dallas). These tickets will be available for purchase online. Transportation from Houston will be considered depending on the number of local attendees. Houston participants are scheduled to leave no later than Sunday, June 3 @ 2:00 PM.

6. Chinmaya Mission Global Teenagers Camp in Coimbatore, India – Dec. 19 – 26, 2012
Chinmaya Mission is excited to offer the first-ever global camp for teenagers, to be conducted by Swami Swaroopananda at the Chinmaya International Residential School (CIRS) in Coimbatore, India,. This camp is open to children 12-16 years old.

7. Ayurvedic Consultation at CMH
Vaidya Sunita Tarkunde conducts Ayurvedic Consultations for members of Chinmaya Mission Houston on Monday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Tapovan room (the basement of our mandir). Each member will have approximately 15 minutes for wellness consultations. Please sign up at the welcome desk on Sunday for appointments.
There is no fee for these consultations, but donations are welcome. Checks should be made payable to CMH.”
