1. Gita Chanting Competition – Saturday, May 8, 2010

On occasion of Pujya Gurudeva’s janma jayanti, we will have Gita chanting competition for Bala Vihar children on Saturday, May 8. Plan to attend this program and encourage our children.

Other Instructions
Please check-in your child between 9:00 AM and 9:45 AM. The check-in desk will be in the Chinmaya Smrti which is near Gurudeva’s Pratima. Your child shall be given a name badge at the time of check-in. The check-in will close at 9:45 AM so as to allow us adequate time to complete the requisite administrative activities before the commencement of the competition at 10.00 AM. Please make sure that you check-in on time.

2. Satsanga – Sunday May 9, 2010

On occasion of Pujya Gurudeva’s janma jayanti, we will have special program for first half an hour of Satsanga in Chinmaya Smrti. All the children, i.e children in Pre-K through Grade 12 and CHYKs will be in Smrti hall during this time.

For children in grades Pre-K through 6, we will have space reserved in the front of the hall.

Please plan to come early and be seated in time for this special day.

3. CMH Summer Schedule – Starts from June 6, 2009

During months of June, July and August, we will have Summers Schedule, i.e. only one session of classes. The timing for Sunday satsangas will be:

     10:50 AM – 12:30 PM      Adult Satsanga, CHYKs class and
                                          Bala Vihar classes for grades PreK through 11

Bhajana, Slokathon, Orchestra and Language classes will not be conducted during Summer session.

Lunch program will continue as usual, after the satsanga at 12:30 PM.

4. Graduation ceremony – Sunday June 13, 2010

On June 13, we will have special program in honor of our graduating class. Acarya Sri Gaurangbhai will have a special discourse based on Taittiriya Upanisad on Graduation day.

Plan to attend this special discourse and celebrate the graduation of our graduating class. Children in grades 7 and above are encouraged to attend this program.

Details for graduation will be available next Sunday.

Please note that there will not be regular lunch program on June 13, 2010.

5. Bala Vihar re-enrollment

The re-enrollment forms will be generated for families who are attending regularly and who have completed their documentation including their pledge form for 2010. Any questions pertaining to re-enrollment should be directed to CMHRegistrations@chinmayahouston.org.

Please print and staple the pages, make appropriate changes (if any), sign the forms, and deposit them in the box labeled “Bala Vihar Re-enrollment” in the dining area.

Please note that all the information for your family and children is pre-filled, including Bala Vihar grades and extra classes information. If your child was attending extra classes and the information is not on the form, please fill it out again. If you would like to enroll your child for any extra class activity, please fill out appropriate box.

The deadline for completing and submitting re-enrollment forms is May 23, 2010.

6. Sunday Satsanga – Sunday May 9, 2010

Plan to be seated in the class before starting time for each session – i.e. 8:50 AM for session I and 11:20 AM for session II.

The schedule will be as follows:

10:30 AM – 11:15 AM		Language classes for children
		Bhajana classes for children
		Spanish class for Adults

		Satsanga for Alumni
