1. Dipavali Celebrations – Saturday Nov. 6, 2010
We will celebrate Dipavali with Chinmaya Family with Diya ceremony, dinner, Ravana Dahana and fireworks.
Plan to be at the courtyard of Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya at 5:45 PM. The Diya ceremony will start at 6:30 PM
Please note that this event is for regular CMH family members only and please remember to bring your tickets. If you could not get your tickets, you will be able to buy your tickets at a special desk set up for the same.
2. Dipavali Puja – Sunday Nov. 7, 2010
Sunday Nov. 7th we will have Sri Laksmi Puja and Sri Visnusahasranama Puja in two sessions as per CMH tradition.
Session I 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM
Session II 11:00 AM – 12:30 AM
Remember to adjust your clock – we gain 1 hour this Sunday.
Please bring the following items for Puja:
- Decorated plate with Sri Laksmi picture, coin or diya for Sri Laksmi Puja
- Sri Mahavisnu picture or diya Sri Visnusahasranama Puja
- Decorated plate with diya for Arati
- Flowers and/or yellow rice for puja
- Prarthana Piyusa
- Match box, zip lock bags
3. Dipavali Puja at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya – Friday Nov. 5, 2010
Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya will celebrate Dipavali with Sri Astalaksmi Puja performed on occasion of Dipavali on Friday November 5, 2010 at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya at 7:00 PM.
Special puja seva/sponsorship: $51 per family
Sri Laksmi Astottarasatanama seva and arcanas
will be performed on request.
