1. Dipavali Celebrations
Due to overwhelming ticket sale and response from our members, we had to readjust our Dipavali plans as follows:
Dipavali Celebrations Sat. Nov. 6 5:45 PM – 9:30 PM
Dipavali Puja (in 2 sesssions) Sun. Nov. 7 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM and
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
This new program will allow us to accommodate everybody comfortably and make each event very enjoyable.
The evening celebration on Saturday Nov. 6th will be for all, which will include Diya ceremony with pradaksina, dinner, fireworks etc. The members will use their tickets for this program.
Please note that this event is for regular CMH family members only.
Plan to get your tickets for the event this Sunday. Tickets are $ 2 each.
Sunday Nov. 7th we will have Sri Laksmi Puja and Sri Visnusahasranama Puja in two sessions as we do every year.
Please bring the following items for Puja:
- Decorated plate with Sri Laksmi picture, coin or diya for Sri Laksmi Puja
- Sri Mahavisnu picture or diya Sri Visnusahasranama Puja
- Decorated plate with diya for Arati
- Flowers and/or yellow rice for puja
- Prarthana Piyusa
- Match box, zip lock bags
2. Dipavali Puja at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya Friday Nov.5, 2010
Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya will celebrate Dipavali with Sri Astalaksmi Puja performed on occasion of Dipavali on Friday November 5, 2010 at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya at 7:00 PM.
Special puja seva/sponsorship: $51 per family
Sri Laksmi Astottarasatanama seva and arcanas will be performed on request.

Photo sessions for CMH photo directory for this month are scheduled as follows:

4. CHYKs Fly Together : An All Texas Retreat Nov. 26-28, 2010
Chinmaya Mission Houston Yuva Kendra will be having their first camp, “CHYKs Fly Together : An All Texas Retreat” from November 26th to November 28th ! This camp is open to Texas Bala Vihar Alumni, young professionals, college students and high school seniors.
