Language/Bhajana/Slokathon/Orchestra classes
Please make sure that your child attends the class you have registered for. Any child who has registered for these classes, but does not show up this Sunday for the class (and has missed all the classes so far), will be taken off the class list and will have to wait until next year for registering for these extra classes
Classroom change for Bhajana IIA/Orchestra IIA and Telugu 3 & 4 classes
Due to traffic issues, we are interchanging classrooms for Telugu 3 & 4 and Bhajana II A & Orchestra II A.
Effective Sunday, Oct. 6
- Telugu 3 & 4 will be in S107/Gr 3 (next to Teacher’s Lounge).
- Bhajana II A/Orchestra II A will be in N104/ Gr 7B (next to KG in SN).
Hindi classes – folders can be purchased from the Book Store
Hindi Level-1 session 2 – Folders will be available at the Book store to purchase for $10 this coming Sunday.
2. Announcement from Contribution Team
2013 year-to-date contribution statements have been emailed this week. Please review your contribution records and the pledge details on your statement. If you notice any discrepancies, or if you have not yet received your statement please write to CMHContributions@chinmayahouston.org, by October 6, 2013.
3. Annual Dipavali Puja – Sunday Nov. 3, 2013
Please mark your calendar for our annual Dipavali Puja and Guru-Daksina on Sunday, November 3, 2013
4. CMH Family Night – Saturday Nov. 16, 2013
Planning is under way for a fun CMH Family Night on Saturday, November 16, for the entire Mission family, including adults and children.
The highlight of the day will be:
- Dipavali decorations
- Regional food stalls (cooked by our very own members)
- Regional folk dances ( performed by our own members)
- Dipavali fireworks
- A surprise element – Gaurang Uncle will tell us about it this Sunday
You can participate in:
- Decorations & Set-up team
- Regional food preparations team
- Regional cultural programs team
- General coordination team
Members from any region can join the regional team of their choice; they are not limited to the region they belong. You can join one or more of all of the above teams
We are energized with the enthusiastic response last Sunday and a big thank you to all who have come forward to work together to make this a memorable event for all. If you did not get a chance to sign up last Sunday, please remember to stop by the Welcome Desk and do so this Sunday. You will be contacted, very soon, by the respective coordinators for further details.
5. Mobile Audio Yagna of Pujya Gurudev

6. Yoga Classes – Saturdays 6:45 AM to 7:50 AM
Yoga classes are conducted at CMH every Saturday from 6:45AM-7:50AM.

7. Ayurvedic Consultation at CMH
Vaidya Sunita Tarkunde conducts Ayurvedic Consultations for members of Chinmaya Mission Houston on Monday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Tapovan room (the basement of our mandir). Each individual gets approximately 15 minutes for wellness consultations.

There is no fee for these consultations, but donations are welcome. Checks should be made payable to “CMH.”
