2. CMH Library Open House  – Sun. Oct. 23, 2011

There will be an open house in the CMH Library, located on the second floor, on Sunday, 23rd October after both sessions.

Our CMH library has a fascinating collection of books, CDs and DVDs on religion, art and culture, for all age groups. We have a complete set of “Amar Chitra Katha, stories of Indian mythology and history, in comic form for small children. There is a very good collection of books for teenagers and adults as well.

Please make use of the library. You can use the library while the children are attending the special classes. Please visit and check-out the materials of your choice. The volunteers will be there to help you out.

3. Deepavali Puja at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya  –  Wed Oct 26, 2011

Sri Astalaksmi Puja will be performed at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya on the auspicious occassion of Dipavali on Wednesday, October 26, 2010 at 7:00 PM. Please participate in the puja with family and friends and receive Mother Laksmi’s blessings.

Special Puja seva/sponsorship: $21 per family

4. CMH Annual Deepavali Puja – Sun. Oct. 30, 2011

Our Annual Deepavali Puja which includes Ganesa Puja, Sri Laksmi Puja and Sri Visnusahasranama Puja will be held in two sessions as per CMH tradition.

       Session I        8:45 AM – 10:30 AM

       Session II     10:45 AM – 12:30 AM

5. CHYK Camp in Houston – “The Game of Life” –  Nov. 25 to 27, 2011

We will be having our annual CHYK Retreat this Thanksgiving weekend from November 25th to 27th, 2011. The theme of the camp is “The Game of Life” conducted by Acharya Vivekji from Chinmaya Mission Niagara Falls. There will be activities such as discussions, a creative writing workshop, “Vedanta in movies and music” workshop, and much more!

Young Professionals, college students, and Chinmaya Bala Vihar High School Seniors are invited to attend the retreat. The current cost of the retreat is an Early Bird rate of $130.
