1. Graduation Ceremony – Sat. May 28, 2016

On Sat. May 28, we will have a special program in honour of our graduating class.

Program will be as follows:

  9:00 AM –   9:15 AM Paduka Puja

  9:15 AM – 10:05 AM Convocation address by Acarya Gaurangbhai

10:05 AM – 10:45 AM Graduation ceremony


All adults and Bala Vihar children in grades 9 – 12 are encouraged to be part of this special program.

Plan to be seated in Smrti Hall by 8:50 AM.

Please note there will be no Bala Vihar classes or any special program for children in grades Pre KG – 8.

2. No Satsanga on Sun. May 29, 2016

Due to the Memorial day weekend, we will have no satsanga this Sunday.

3. Chinmaya Jyoti travels on from CMH Mon. May 30, 2016

On Monday, May 30 the Chinmaya Jyoti will travel from CMH to Chinmaya Mission Beaumont. We will have a special Puja before Jyoti leaves for Beaumont.

Plan to be part of this important event of Pujya Gurudeva’s Birth Centenary celebration.

4. Bala Vihar Re-Enrollment for 2016-2017 – Deadline May 31, 2016

Please note that this is the last week for submitting Bala Vihar reenrollment forms for the year 2016-2017.

Bala Vihar re-enrollment links and instructions have been emailed to eligible families. Please review the email and respond by the deadline. Questions pertaining to re-enrollment should be directed to CMHRegistrations@chinmayahouston.org.

5. Jnana Yagna with Pujya Swamini Ganganandaji – Jul. 17 thru Jul. 23, 2016

6. Opportunity to Offer Bhiksa to Pujya Swamini Ganganandaji during Jnana Yajna Jul. 17 thru Jul. 23, 2016

During the Jnana Yajna from July 17 – July 23, members will have an opportunity to offer bhiksa to Swaminiji at their home. There will be breakfast, lunch & dinner bhiksas. Interested members are requested to sign up at the welcome desk. The Bhiksa coordinator will contact you with further details.

7. Smrti and Bala Mandira doors to be locked at the start of each session

As announced before, we have started to lock the Smrti and Balamandira doors after the classes start in each session. A big ‘Thank you’ to all members for understanding and complying with this policy, and we encourage all to keep up the practice.

8. Online sign-up for Gurudeva’s Paduka Puja

As you all know on the special occasion of Pujya Gurudeva’s birth centenary (2015-2016), to express our endless gratitude to the great Master, the families of Chinmaya Mission Houston are performing the Guru Paduka Puja every Sunday before the Adult Satsanga in both sessions.

It is a memorable opportunity for all members to offer their devoted regards for Pujya Gurudeva and for his spiritual mission. Please sign up to perform the Paduka Puja in this auspicious centenary year.
