1. Mauna Sadhana – Sat. Jan. 31, 2015

As part of preparation for Pujya Gurudeva’s birth centenary celebrations, we will observe three Mauna Sadhana days this year. The first one will be observed on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015.

Where: Smrti Hall at Chinmaya Prabha

Time: 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

We encourage all seekers of peace and quietude to come and participate in this event.

All participants will be guided and led in the first half an hour to maintain Mauna by Pujya Acarya Sri Gaurang Uncle. After which time members will be by themselves in observing silence

You may bring Japamala and/or a spiritual book to support your drifting mind, if necessary.

Please bring your own lunch and eat together with all participants at the end of the Mauna.

2. Mahasivaratri Celebrations – Feb 15 & 17, 2015

Mark your calendars and plan to participate in all events planned for Mahasivaratri celebrations. The event details are as follows:

10:00 PM to 10:30 PM – Arati & Prasada

10:30 PM to 11:45 PM – Meditation followed by midnight Arati

All celebrations are open to public.

6. CMH Accepted for Corporate Matching Gift Programs

Chinmaya Mission Houston has been accepted into the matching gift programs at Chevron, JP Morgan Chase, Shell, Microsoft, Citgo, and Apple.

These employers match employee contributions made to a company approved non-profit organization. If you are an employee of one of these companies, please avail of this facility by contacting the appropriate department within your organization. Some employers like Chevron even match employee volunteer hours by making a financial contribution that they compute based on the number of volunteer hours an employee has put in.
