8:50 AM – 10:30 AM Satsanga I for adults, Bala Vihar grades PreK-12

10:30 AM – 11:15 AM Language, Orchestra/Slokathon classes for children session I
Chanting, Spanish classes for adults

11:20 AM –   1:00 PM Satsanga II for adults, Bala Vihar grades PreK-11

1:30 PM –   2:15 PM Language, Orchestra/Slokathon classes for children session II

1:45 PM –   2:45 PM Satsanga for CHYK

2. CMH Navaratri celebrations Saturday Oct. 8, 2011

CMH will be celebrating the joyous and pious festival of Navaratri Garaba in the evening on Saturday, October 8, at the beautiful & spacious Berry Centre on N. Barker-Cypress. This year CMH members can invite friends also to this event. Tickets for all invited guests must be purchased by members only, and these guests must be accompanied by members on the day of the event.

Ticket sales have already started and will be available in the dining area. Prices are as under:

       Children under 3                                          Free

       Bala Vihar Children Grade 6 and below      $6.00 each

       Adults and all other Children                      $8.00 each

       All Tickets at the Door                                 $10.00 each

3. CHYK Camp in Houston – “The Game of Life” Nov. 25 to 27, 2011

We will be having our annual CHYK Retreat this Thanksgiving weekend from November 25 to 27. The theme of the camp is “The Game of Life” conducted by Acarya Vivekji from Chinmaya Mission Niagara Falls. There will be activities such as discussions, a creative writing workshop, “Vedanta in movies and music” workshop, and much more!

Young Professionals, college students, and Chinmaya Bala Vihar High School Seniors are invited to attend the retreat. The current cost of the retreat is a Texas Summer special of $125. However, this price is only good until Friday, September 30, 2011 after which the cost will go up. Register today and lock in your rate!

4. Volunteers for making Garlands – Every Sunday 10:30-11:15 AM

Here is an opportunity for members to engage in a fun and divine task of garland making. In between the two sessions from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM, instead of simply waiting in the dining area for your children, you can put your hands to work on this pure task. No prior experience necessary, you will be trained by our expert members in this art.
