2. Seminar on Medicare at CMH – Sunday September 18, 2011
We will have an educational seminar on Medicare at CMH, on September 18 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The seminar will give our senior citizens a better understanding about Medicare and how it works. Mr. Sudhir Mathuria, a licensed professional will make the presentation and answer questions.
3. CORD USA Read-A-Thon Donations – Sunday, September 18, 2011
It is now time to collect all donations pledged for this Read-A-Thon. A table will be set-up in the dining area on September 18 for this purpose. Please remember to print and complete the appended form which will need to be submitted along with your donations. Tax exempt receipts can be provided for these contributions upon request.

4. CMH Student Council Membership – Monday, September 19, 2011
Service and Charity are the foundation stones of the CMH Student Council. Council activities include but are not limited to (i) Planning & executing Lock-Ins, (ii) Family fun night, (iii) Volunteering in fund-raising or related activities, (iv) Active volunteering during Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya festival events, and (v) Planning & executing Grandparents day Celebration.
CMH Youth in Grades 9 through 12, interested in serving the CMH families and community at large are invited to apply. The application process is simple. Interested High School youth are required to submit a one page essay on (i) Why they are interested in CMH Student Coucil, and (ii) What value they can bring to serve in the council, to cmhstudentcouncil@gmail.com.
Deadline for submission is September 19, 2011 before 11PM. Selected members will be informed via email by September 23, 2011
5. CMH Navaratri celebrations Saturday Oct. 8, 2011
CMH will be celebrating the joyous and pious festival of Navaratri Garaba on Saturday, October 8 evening, at the beautiful & spacious Berry Centre on N. Barker-Cypress. This year CMH members can invite friends also to this event. Tickets for all invited guests must be purchased by members only, and these guests must be accompanied by members on the day of the event.
Ticket sales will start from Sunday, September 18 in the dining area and prices are as under:
Children under 3 Free
Bala Vihar Children Grade 6 and below $6.00 each
Adults and all other Children $8.00 each
All Tickets at the Door $10.00 each
