1. Bala Vihar Play Sat. Dec. 08, 2018
Yes its show time now! Our Bala Vihar kids and teachers alike, are beaming with anticipation to put forth their hard work in front of the CMH family. Hope you all are equally excited and cannot wait to see them perform 🙂
Event Timing:
- Saturday Dec.08, 2018
- Bala Vihar Play starts at 5:00 PM
- Followed by dinner at 6:30 PM
As you all are aware, due to inclement weather the event has been moved indoors, because of which there will be a space crunch. We thank you in anticipation for your full cooperation so we can move in an orderly and timely manner. Please go through the housekeeping instructions below:
- You may park in the back parking lot, and the overflow parking will be in the adjacent mosque parking lot.
- Those parking in the mosque parking lot will walk through the door to Ganeshji’s residence. There will be shoe racks by the side wall inside the corridor. You will continue to walk towards the dining area.
- Please allow yourself ample time to park, walk and be seated by 4:45 PM. Seating will start at 4:00 PM
- Please note the Smrti entrance through the Sivalaya courtyard will be locked as the area is being used as a green room for the play.
- All children (except the play participants) will be seated with the parents.
- The front part of the Smrti Hall which is adjacent to the Dining area has been reserved for the families of the play participants. The remaining area will be free seating on first come first serve basis, with the overflow audience being seated in the Dining area and Saraswati Nilayam.
- The flow for dispersing of members for dinner will be announced after the play.
- Kindly follow the instructions of Parking and Welcome team volunteers.
Please note, we will have regular Sunday classes on the following day.
2. Satsanga Timings Sun. Dec. 09, 2018
8:35 AM – 10:15 AM Satsanga I for adults & Bala Vihar grades Pre-KG-12
10:30 AM – 11:15 AM Language (incl. Session II Hindi class), Slokathon, Orchestra & Adult Chanting classes
11:20 AM – 1:00 PM Satsanga II for adults & Bala Vihar grades Pre-KG-10
Please note Bhajana classes are held every other Sunday.
3. Announcement from Contributions Team
- 2018 and 2019 pledge confirmations and statements have been emailed on December 4. If you have not received your confirmation or if there are any discrepancies, please email CMHContributions@chinmayahouston.org.
- Families who have offered their Gurudaksina pledge and have not received their Dipavali gift may collect their gift at the Contribution Desk on Sunday.
- Families who have not yet offered their annual Gurudaskina contribution/pledge form may do so online or at the Contribution Desk this Sunday.
- 2018 contribution statements will be emailed in a few days for your year-end tax planning purposes
