2. Maha Mrtyunjaya Homa for good health – Sun. Mar 13, 2016

We will culminate the Maha Sivaratri celebration this Sunday by performing the Maha Mrtyunjaya Homa for good health and well-being. The Homa will be performed in the Smrti Hall in two sessions. Please plan to be seated in the Smrti Hall by 8:35 AM and 11:20 AM.

Please plan to participate with your family and friends on this auspicious occasion and receive Lord Siva’s blessings. This event is open to public.

Homa sponsorship: $21 per family

Please note there will be no Language/Bhajana/Slokathon/Orchestra classes this Sunday. Also, there will be no lunch program this Sunday due to the special Puja.

Classes for GCC for children will be held as usual as under:

4. Announcing CORD USA Summer Service Visits 2016

CORDUSA offers this opportunity to High School Bal Vihar students to travel to India to practice serving the underprivileged and experience the rewards of a sewa bhava first hand. 6. Smrti and Bala Mandira doors to be locked at the start of each session

As announced before, we have started to lock the Smrti and Balamandira doors after the classes start in each session. A big ‘Thank you’ to all members for understanding and complying with this policy, and we encourage all to keep up the practice.

As you all know on the special occasion of Pujya Gurudeva’s birth centenary (2015-2016), to express our endless gratitude to the great Master, the families of Chinmaya Mission Houston are performing the Guru Paduka Puja every Sunday before the Adult Satsanga in both sessions.

Chinmaya Mission Houston has been accepted into the matching gift programs at Chevron, JP Morgan Chase, Shell, Microsoft, Citgo, Apple and Phillips 66 (recent addition).

These employers match employee contributions made to a company approved non-profit organization. If you are an employee of one of these companies, please avail of this facility by contacting the appropriate department within your organization.
