2. Parking Issue at CMH

Management is aware of the parking problems at CMH, and the delays the situation is causing for our members to be on-time for the classes. The situation is compounded with the addition of new members. The management is working on building a temporary parking lot for about 100 additional cars.

We seek your cooperation and understanding until the additional parking space is constructed. In the meantime, please give yourself extra time to park and be seated in time for the start of bhajanas in Smrti, and the assembly in Sarasvati Nilayam.

3. CMH Library Open House – Sunday Sep. 21, 2014

There will be an open house in the CMH Library, located on the second floor, on Sunday, Sep. 21 after both sessions.

Our CMH library has a fascinating collection of books, CDs and DVDs on religion, art and culture, for all age groups. We have a complete set of “Amar Chitra Katha, stories of Indian mythology and history, in comic form for small children. There is a very good collection of books for teenagers and adults as well.

Please visit and check-out the materials of your choice. The volunteers will be there to help you out.

4. CMH Navaratri Celebration – Friday, Sep. 26, 2014

This year, we will be celebrating everyone’s favorite festival, the Navaratri Garba, as one big CMH family.

Date:  Friday, September 26 in the evening Place: Stafford Centre in Stafford, TX Time:  7:00 PM to 11:30 PM Ticket Prices inclusive of dinner are as below: Members $12 each Bala Vihar children 4-12 yrs. – $10  each Children under 4 yrs. – Free All Guests – $20 each (Guest tickets can be bought by members only)

This is the last Sunday before the event; please remember to buy your tickets. Tickets are on sale, after both sessions, in the Dining Area.

Also, on Sunday, Sep. 21 we have scheduled a Navaratri dance practice session, after lunch around 1:30 PM, so we all can participate fully in all festivities on Sep. 26. All interested members are requested to plan to stay back for this fun session.

5. CMH receives .5% of member purchases from Amazonsmile, as donation

We are pleased to announce that CMH is now registered with the Amazonsmile program. This means that every time a CMH member buys through AmazonSmile, which is the same as Amazon, CMH will receive .5% of our member purchases towards donations. This is a great opportunity to increase contributions to CMH, without spending anything extra.  Please note that members cannot claim tax deductions for this 0.5%, as this is Amazon.com’s contribution, and not the member’s contribution.  For your convenience this link has now been provided on our CMH website.

We encourage all members to save the above link in their “Favorites” and use this link for future purchases. This change does not cost us members anything extra, but will most certainly help with CMH finances – let us remember that every drop counts, and our membership is so large that before we know we will have a bucket full.
