2.  Gurudeva’s Janma Jayanti Celebrations     Sunday, May 5, 2019

We will have a special program for Pujya Gurudeva’s birthday celebrations in Smrti Hall for the first half an hour.

Children in grades PreK – 6 must go straight to the Smrti Hall this Sunday instead of going to the Sarasvati Nilayam, for the first half an hour. These children will sit according to their grade in the front lines of the Smrti Hall.

Treat on Pujya Gurudeva’s Birthday

Every year, on the occasion of Pujya Gurudeva’s Birthday, his ardent devotees and longtime Mission members, Sucheta and Lal Thukral, distribute sweets to adults and Candy to children.  So you will be in for a sweet treat on Sunday, May 5, at CMH.

3. CMH Summer Schedule      May 20 thru Sep.07, 2019

Last day of this year’s Bala Vihar and Sunday adult Satsanga classes is May. 19, 2019.  The next academic year will start on Sep. 08, 2019.

During the summer months we have other activities planned including Jnana Yajnas. More details will be provided as we go.

4. Chinmaya Mission Graduation Ceremony  Mon. May 27, 2018

On Mon. May 27, we will have a special program in honor of our graduating class.

All adults and Bala Vihar children in grades 9 – 12 are welcome to be part of this special program.

5. Bala Vihar Re-Enrollment for 2019-2020

Bala Vihar re-enrollment is underway for the 2019-2020 academic year. Eligible families should have received the online re-enrollment link and if not, please send an email to CMHRegistrations@chinmayahouston.org. Please fill out the online form and submit it as soon as you can.

Please verify your individual forms, and make necessary edits to ensure that the following information is correct:

Deadline to fill out Bala Vihar re-enrollment form is May 31, 2019.

6. Junior CHYK Day Camp    Jun. 10 -14, 2019

Power of the Word – an exploration of the Puranas and Upanishads by Acarya Vivek ji and Brni. Shweta Chaitanya

Age group: 14 to 17 (incoming high school freshmen for the 2019-2020 year and onwards)

This summer we will have an opportunity to soak in a beautiful text – “Drg Drsya Viveka”.  Even more exciting is the fact that it will be conducted by our very own Pujya Gaurang Uncle.

9. Jnana Yajna at CMH by Swami Ramakrishnananda –    Aug. 18 – 23, 2019

We are happy to announce that this year, Swami Ramakrishnananda ji will be conducting the Jnana Yajna at Chinmaya Mission Houston. Swamiji has a unique and jovial style of communicating with his audience, which makes his discourses very entertaining and enlightening, be it Vedanta, Gita, Bhagavatam, Ramayana or even a course in Easy Sanskrit.

The schedule for the pravacanas will be as below:
