1.  New Bala Vihar Year & Adult Satsangas start     Sun. Sep. 15 2019

Satsang timings:

8:35 AM – 10:15 AM Satsanga I for adults & Bala Vihar grades Pre-KG-12

10:30 AM – 11:15 AM Language classes for children in Session I, Bhajana/Orchestra/Slokathon and adult chanting

11:20 AM – 1:00 PM Satsanga II for adults & Bala Vihar grades Pre-KG-10

1:30 PM – 2:15 PM Hindi classes for children in Session II

We have a lot of new members and thus the need to reiterate the importance of adhering to CMH housekeeping rules by which we govern ourselves.

Punctuality is an integral part of CMH culture and we are grateful for your understanding and appreciation of the same.  Please give yourself enough time so as to park and be seated in Smrti Hall/ Sarasvati Nilayam by 8:35 AM (1st Session attendees) and by 11:20 AM (2nd Session attendees).  We may have to close the doors before the start of Arati.

Additional Housekeeping Instructions

After the Bala Vihar classes, Children in Grades Pre K – 3 must be picked up from their respective classrooms by parents.

Extra-curricular classes start this Sunday

We will be starting our Language, Slokathon, Bhajana, Orchestra and adult chanting classes, this Sunday.

Bhajana -1 and Orchestra – 1 classes will alternate from September 29.

Please note that children who have enrolled in these classes during the reenrollment process will be the only ones allowed to attend. No new children will be enrolled for any extra-curricular classes.

Parents should go to their children’s language class for this first class, as all the details for the class will be provided to children and parents this Sunday.

2.  CMH will be closed on Sun. Sep. 22, 2019

As you all are aware, Houston is about to experience an important and historic event on September 22, 2019.  There will be a Community Summit in Honor of Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.  Mission will be closed on Sun. Sep. 22 to facilitate our members’ participation.

3.  Bus Ride Requests for the Howdy Mody Event on Sep. 22, 2019

Members who have registered for the above event and need a bus ride to the NRG stadium on the day, must send the following information to Jatin Desai via e-mail at jatin@maverickeng.com

4.  2018 CMH Photo Directory now available for pick up

We are happy to announce that the 2018 CMH Photo Directories are now available for pick up.  They will be distributed this Sunday, Sep. 15, 2019 between 10:15 AM and 11:15 AM.

Please note that these will be distributed only to the CMH members who participated in the CMH Photo Directory program last year. There will be a roster of members who participated in the program. Please sign your name in the roster and pick up your copy. Kindly pickup your own copies yourself, and do not ask other members to pick up on your behalf.

5.  CMH Navaratri at Stafford Center     Sun. Oct. 06, 2019

Let us all come together as one big family and seek the blessings of Maa Ambe during the auspicious Navaratri celebration.

6.  Yoga Sessions at CMH, every Saturday starting     Oct. 5, 2019

7.  Mahatma Gandhi Library City Wide Contests – Bala Vihar Participation opportunity

Here is an opportunity for our Bala Vihar children to engage in, during the summer. Several contests are being organized including Essay, Speech, iTribute, Coloring and Poster.  The submission deadlines are around Sep. 22, 2019.

There is something for every age group.  We encourage our children to participate and enrich themselves with this experience.
