2. Classes for Gita Chanting Competition – Sundays, Feb 09 to May 04

Bala Vihar children are required to attend classes for their own session.

3. Lock-In for Bala Vihar Grades KG to 2 – Friday Mar 7, 2014

The Student Council is holding its annual Lock-In for Bala Vihar children in KG to 2nd Grade. This is a social evening filled with games and entertainment for our children, and is a much awaited event.

     From: Friday, March 7 7:00 PM

     To: Saturday, March 8 8:00 AM

Tickets: $10 for children & $5 for volunteers

A lock-in with so many small children needs a lot of supervision. We are therefore requesting interested adults to sign up at the ticket desk.

Spots are limited to the first 120 children and 30 volunteers. This Sunday will be the last day to purchase your tickets. Tickets will be available in the Dining Area. If you have any questions please contact the CMH Student Council at cmhstudentcouncil@gmail.com

4. New Member Orientation – Sunday, March 09, 2014

On Sunday March 09, we will be having an orientation for new members and/ or those who have never attended a CMH orientation so far. We encourage all new members to avail this opportunity to learn a little bit more about our facility and its program.

6. Volunteers needed for Mahasivaratri

We need volunteers for Mahasivaratri on Feb. 27 and Feb 28. Although any available time is welcome, we especially need volunteers who can help during the day on Feb 27, since it is a working day. Interested members can sign up at the welcome desk.

7. Puja sponsorship for Mahasivaratri and Mrtyunjaya Homa

To avoid rush on Feb 27 and Mar 02, members who would like to sponsor the Mahasivaratri puja and Mrtyunjaya Homa, can do so at the Contribution Desk and Mandir. We will also have an additional table in the Dining Area between the two sessions and after the second session, for taking the puja sponsorships.

8. Gita Chanting Competition – Sat. May 10, 2014

The Gita chanting competition will be held on May10, on the occasion of Pujya Gurudeva’s birthday. Bhagavad Gita Chapter 12 has been selected for this year’s competition. The competition will be grouped by different ages.

Along with the regular competition for children, the adults are also invited to participate in Gita Parayana. Details on Gita Parayana for adults will be announced in the coming weeks. Please visit www.chinmayahouston.org for complete details for Gita chanting competition.

9. CMH to receive .5% of member purchases from Amazonsmile, as donation
