1. Satsanga Schedule – Sunday Feb. 6, 2011

		10:30 AM – 11:15 AM			Language, Slokathon/Orchestra classes for children Chanting, Spanish classes for adults
		11:20 AM – 01:00 PM			Satsanga II for adults, Yuva Kendra and Bala Vihar grades PreK-11

Plan to be in Smrti Hall by 9:00 AM in first session and 11:30 AM in second session. Bala Vihar children and Adults who are not seated in Smrti Hall or Sarasvati Nilayam by the time Arati starts, will not be able to attend classes. They can sit in the dining area and write Likhita Japa.

2. Mahasivaratri Celebrations – Wednesday Mar. 2, 2011

We will have a special Mahasivaratri celebrations at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya on Wednesday March 2, 2011. Mark your calendars and plan to participate in Pujas, Ksirabhisekam, Meditation and Maha Arati and receive blessings from the Lord Siva. For program details please see the Sivaratri Flyer.

We will have Mahamrtyunjaya Homa on Saturday March 5, 2011 and Sunday March 6, 2011 (in two sessions).

3. Volunteer meeting for Mahasivaratri Celebrations – Sunday Feb. 20, 2011

There will be a meeting for volunteers for Mahasivaratri festival in Tapovana Room in Sivalaya at 10:30 AM this Sunday. We need a few more volunteers for Mar 02 evening. Any one interested in volunteering should meet the temple team outside the temple at 10:30 am on Sunday.

4. Contribution Statements for year 2010

Contribution statements for the period 1/1/2010 to 12/31/2010 have been emailed. If you have not received it please write to CMHContributions@chinmayahouston.org or stop by the Contributions Desk.

5. Book Store – Book for March/April

“Journey called Life” a Mananam publication has been chosen as the second book in the series. Mananam is a publication by Chinmaya Mission West which helps devotees and students of Vedanta with a very fine collection of articles by various masters. The book will be available in the book store.

6. Sacred Songs, Sacred Sites – Houston Arts Alliance

Chinmaya Mission Houston will be one of the four sights being showcased by Houston Arts Alliance for their program “Sacred Songs, Sacred Sites – Insight/OnSite” on Feb. 25-26, 2011.
