The anxious wait for ready participants is finally over.  We encourage all members to come and applaud the children’s effort and be entranced by their knowledge.

A brief outline for that day’s program is as under:

Family Fun Fair Day – May 10, 2009

CMH Response to H1N1

The City of Houston, Department of Health has given us a green light to proceed with all programs. We would still like to take reasonable precautions and have therefore moved outdoors, all activities for May 10th where we are expecting a huge gathering.  We truly hope that each one of our members continues to maintain good health and is able to participate in all events planned for this week-end.  However, in the interest of all, we urge any member with flu-like symptoms to stay at home.

When you reach CMH … 

Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya will be open from 8:00 – 9:00 AM for members. The main gate and side gate from Mosque will be open at 8:00 AM.

Please come as close to 8:00 AM as possible.

As you enter Chinmaya Prabha from main gate or enter the courtyard from Mosque side, please visit the welcome tables located in the respective areas.

Give your tickets to volunteers and  receive the following items:

• Bag for goodies                                (one per Bala Vihar child)
• Map for Funfair                                 (one per family)
• Game sheet for GPS to liberation     (one per family)
• Bookmark with Gurudeva’s quote    (one per family)

Write names on your children’s bags.

If family members are reaching CMH at different times, please help us out with deciding which family member will receive Map, Game sheet and Bookmark (we have limited quantities for each of these items).

A Brief Outline for that day’s program

8:00 AM – 9:25 AM           Receive Map etc. from welcome tables
9:00 AM                            Entry to the Fun Fair Arena starts
9:30 AM                            Inaugural Procession for this Celebration
9:45 AM to 11:50 AM        Lots of rides, trackless train, games & snacks                              
11:50 AM                          Get ready for a Special Arati
12:00 Noon                      Special Arati
12:10 PM                          Innovative Game – Chinmaya Army
12:20 PM to 2:00 PM        Brahmarpanam & Lunch
12:20 PM to 2:00 PM        Rides and games resume

PS – Plan to visit all the game booths. Remember, all answers to the GPS to Liberation Questionnaire which you receive at the entrance, will be available as stickers at each of the Game booths & Book Marks you receive at the entrance will be required for the Chinmaya Army Game.

Posters
The beautiful and insightful posters, creatively adorning the corridors and dining area of CMH are a real tribute to Pujya Gurudeva on his Birthday.  They are also an expression of our gratitude to our acaryas for their heart warming renditions of Gurudeva’s teachings.  The posters will be on display for the next several weeks, starting this Sunday, so take time out and go through each one of them.  You certainly don’t want to miss these. 

Parking on May 10
Members coming from the North side will be parking in the Vietnamese Monks’ residence across our main entrance and walking through the main entrance.  Those coming from the South side will park in the Mosque and walk in from the small connecting gate and then through the gate to the Temple courtyard. Please follow the instructions of the Security Guard.

Main Gate & connecting Gate will be closed at 9:25 AM on May 10
To avoid disappointment give yourself extra time for parking and plan to be at the Mission ahead of time.

Bala Vihar Re-enrolment Process for 2009-2010

Families whose children are currently enrolled in Bala Vihar should have received their pre-populated re-enrolment forms by email. Please complete these forms and deposit them in a box labeled, “Bala Vihar Re-Enrolment Forms” located on a table next to the Bookstore in the dining area no later than May 17, 2009.
