Dipavali Puja at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya Thur Oct 31, 2024

Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya will perform Sri Astalaksmi Puja on the auspicious occasion of Dipavali on Thursday, October 31, 2024. We invite you to participate in the Puja with family and friends and receive Mother Laksmi’s blessings.

Annual Dipavali Puja & Gurudaksina Sun. Nov. 03, 2024

You and your families are warmly invited to join the entire CMH family for our joyous and auspicious Dipavali Puja on November 3. This sacred ceremony will include Ganesa Puja, Sri Laksmi Puja, and Sri Visnusahasranama Puja, concluding with the offering of Gurudaksina.

Puja will be performed in only one session starting at 9:30 AM. We look forward to celebrating together!

Please allow yourself enough time for traffic and parking and plan to arrive early and be seated by 9:15 AM. As always let us bring the festive spirit in by dressing up in festive clothes and a huge Chinmaya smile.

Please note that due to our Annual Dipavali Puja, there will be no Bala Vihar classes and Adult Satsanga on Nov. 3.

Please remember to bring the following items for puja:

Coin/Lamp/Account Book in a decorated plate for Laksmi Puja
Lamp in a decorated plate for Visnusahasranama Puja
Yellow Rice and Flowers
A third plate with a lamp for Arati
Prarthana Piyusa
Match Box, Plastic bags, Paper Napkins
Your annual Gurudaksina envelope with pledge form and contribution (if you have already pledged/contributed, please include your confirmation/receipt; note that we will also email these receipts by Saturday)

2025 Gurudaksina Links Emailed on October 17

Personalized Gurudaksina links have been emailed on October 17 to all members for you to offer your Gurudaksina during this auspicious time leading up to and at our Dipavali puja. If you have not received your Gurudaksina email, please write to CMHContributions@chinmayahouston.org or stop by the Contribution Desk.

The temple will be open 7:00am – 2:00pm and 5:00pm – 8:00pm for Darsana, and Arcana Seva will be performed upon request.

CHYK Con Retreat Wed, Nov 27 – Sun, Dec 1

CHYK West is organizing an exciting CHYK retreat coming up this Thanksgiving! A first-of-its-kind exploration of sangeeta (music), nrtya (dance), and natya (performance) – the art forms that take us to the divine.

Celebrate Thanksgiving at Beautiful Chinmaya Mangalam and explore how Hindu art forms link us with the Paramatma (Supreme Self).
