Bala Vihar Open House                                Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008

Bala Vihar open house is on Oct. 26, 2008. Children will go to their classrooms after arati, pledge and announcements. Uncle’s pravacana will be till 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM in the first and second sessions respectively. Thereafter, parents will go to their children’s class to attend the open house. For families with multiple children, parents are requested to split between the different grades. Parents are encouraged to attend the open house as it provides a good opportunity to know your child’s Bala Vihar curriculum and teacher as well as other children and parents.

This Sunday’s lunch is sponsored by the Odhav family – Surina, Nishtha, Neeshali, and Anish Odhav in memory of their grandmother Kusumben Chhotubhai Odhav.

Dipavali Puja                                                       Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008

As we all know, Dipavali is fast approaching. We will celebrate this festive occasion with our annual Dipavali Puja at Chinmaya Prabha on Sunday, November 2. Puja will be performed in two sessions from 8:50 AM to 10:30 AM and from 10:50 AM to 12.30 PM. The First Colony-New Territory III (three) Karma Yoga Group is responsible for managing this event. Program details are being finalized and will be conveyed next week.

CMH Youth Group Meeting                        Sunday, Oct 19, 2008

A CMH Youth Group general meeting will be held in the Smrti Hall on Sunday, October 19 from 10:35 AM to 11:10 AM. Youth in grades 9 through 12 are encouraged to attend this meeting. Interested parents are welcome to join.

Dipavali at Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya             Tue/Wed, Oct. 28/29, 2008

On occasion of Dipavali, Sri Saumyakasi Sivalaya will be open from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM on October 28 and 29. Sri Laksmi Astottarasatanama Arcana will be performed on request all day. Puja details are as below:

6:30 PM – Dhanalaksmi Puja and Maha Arati
